Hickok45 Groupies?

I wish he would do a video on the G36, I don't think he owns one...but I'd loan him mine to do the video.
He has a video up of the g36 but I cant remember the name of the video. Just go to the search bar and type in glcok 36.

I marvel at Hickok45's ability to quickly and repeatedly accept a 'good enough' sight picture and then break the shot, quickly, and over and over again. That he can do this with a wide variety of shotguns, rifles and handguns is a tribute to his outstanding command of marksmanship fundamentals.

I also very much respect that he acknowledges his flinch, and that he has for the most part worked his way past that impediment. This man does not let his ego get in the way of his shooting.

imo Hickok's folksy unassuming ways are a big plus to his firearms knowledge.

He is an interesting character, I like his videos, they are very entertaining and educational.

If I were him though, it would creep me out that there are "groupies" out there and that just want to "stop by and shoot with me". Yeesh, the web is a weird place. He is just an older dude who makes shooting videos, why do people project all of this hyperbole and exposition of "what he is like, how he is like John Wayne, etc."? That, in itself, seems weird to me. It's like FPS Russia, it is just a character, making money. I don't care what any of the shooting guys on YouTube are "really like in real life." Who cares? They are just shooters who make videos, then turn into entertainers.

The reason it would be very rewarding to shoot with "Hickok" or his son would be for the nice exposure to very seasoned basic shooting skills.
My only "Gun Guru" (ex. Navy Marks. Team) will be moving away from this area fairly soon, and we seldom had any time together.

Yeah. I think people want to shoot with him because he's a nice, knowledgeable guy with a lot of experience and a fun personal range.

I like him because of the relaxed atmosphere and lack of ego involved in his vids.

He does have his biases to what he likes, but he'll give honest & un-biased info on hat he doesnt.

I also like the fact that he shows what the guns can really do as far as range and accuracy. Like the recent upload with the mossberg PGO pump. He's hitting that 80yd gong like no body's business where as most folks seem to think that's the absolute limit to a shotgun's range when using long barrels, scopes and a benchrest.

I'm a fan of his videos. He is always upbeat and cheerful in his videos. There are lot's of people on youtube who just do half-assed table-top reviews and ramble on and on. I enjoy how Hickok45 talks about the gun, then shoots it. It seems much more hands-on and down-to-earth. On the other hand, I think that nutnfancy is an idiot and a half who thinks he's some kind of super star commando who's nothing more than some fat guy with high-speed gear and cool guns. Just my five cents.

Another very popular gun guy, "FPSRussia" earns some revenue or products from sponsors.
Being sponsored must explain how he can afford to borrow, or own and shoot the .50 cal or the 37 mm gun etc.

His foreign armored vehicle, which he used to order food at Mcdonalds might also be borrowed.

As long as its not nutnfancy. Hickock does really well, I like how diverse his guns are. Uzi's to glocks, ak's and ar's, that guy can shoot anything.

One of my favorite things about Hickock45 is that he's not dressed up like a special forces troop or some kind of mall ninja. The man is just plain down to earth. Like a great next door neighbor who just happens to be one of the best marksman I've ever watched on Youtube. No b.s. No talking down to the viewer. His videos are my favorite gun videos on the internet.

His is about the only "gun guy" videos that I do watch, I will not say all, but most all of the other guys are tools in one way or the other. I just file them under "internet experts"...or "youtube experts".

I started watching when I saw him take a j frame snub out to the gong. I couldn't even toss mine that far and expect to hit anything.

I watch Hickok45 when i want to get a down to earth honest review of a gun and watch FPSRUSSIA when i want to see cool firearms I'm not likely to find elsewhere on YouTube. Both are good in their own ways.

FPS Russia is affiliated with a relative of his who owns a range/gun shop, who is an NFA dealer. Not sure if he owns any of the stuff in his videos? How many people can afford to own a mini-gun or some of the other crazy stuff he has featured? Very entertaining character but at some point, all of his videos are the same and get boring.

What I enjoyed about Hickok's video, for instance, on the Mosin, is that he explains some of the interesting history about the weapon, then he shoots it. FPS Russia pretty much just wants to blow stuff up, whereas Hickok is definitely a shooter/historian.

Speaking of FPS Russia, I watch him once in a while with my 14 year old step-son who is a huge fan of his. FPS Russia seems to connect with all the gamers out there and shoot real versions of what the gamers play with digitally.

FPS is definitely in it for the entertainment of his viewers and also the entertainment of himself. I would like to do what FPS Russia does, but my budget is much closer to Hickock45's. :D
