Money no object, and the genie supplies the ammo? M2 for sure.

If I have to feed it, the Thompson SMG would be very high on the list, as would anything that could readilly be converted shoot .22lr (e.g. M16 or M4 lower). The M240 though has a significant appeal, as would the MG42.

Ohhhh, I would have to say it is a toss up between a Thompson and a BAR.

Mostly for historical significances, but for the fun of it too.

The thing in post #11 is looking mighty tempting......

Though, a Tommygun (1927-era model that can take drum mags, cutts compensator, pistol-grip forend) would be EXTREMELY tempting......

But i think the MG-3 would win, in my book. MG42+.308=awesomeness.
And you gotta admit, this would be a fun setup:

BAR. If it was made by Colt I'd be happy, though I've seen Winchester made ones that were nice too. Anything marked Colt (they made Tommy guns too.) Maybe an XM-177 Commando?

As for new guns... a Bizon with all the goodies would be nice.

Shakk?

If you're going to go THAT far. I want a SHAKK (Seeking Hypersonic Ammunition Kinetic Kill) from John Barnes Timeline Wars Trilogy. See the link - the SHAKK is on the left. (heh, heh) Any gunnie should read at least the first book of the Trilogy.

I see your Timeline Wars and raise you Iain Banks' Culture series.

Although Van Vogt's Isher weapons are pretty cool too.

Koos

Full Auto, SBR AR lower - made by Cobb - that way you can go from .22lr to .50BMG in both full length and SBR.

#1 - M1918A2 BAR .30-06;
#2 - 1928 Thomas Gun, 45 ACP, With nice, original wood and a drum magazine (there is one in a display case at our local PD that was dropped in a bank robbery 70 years ago);
#3 - AR-15 - Rose and Pink new build on a legal lower, with a 22lr conversion (for the girls).

One of each, please.

Thompson. I mean the one like in Saving Private Ryan issued to Hanks' character.

Why did they stop making that weapon? I mean, it's a .45 SMG. That's awesome. It seems like such a wonderful design; I can't help but wonder why they aren't around anymore.

The M3 grease gun was much easier to mass produce. It phased out the Thompson quite easily.

That backpack minigun from "Predator." I know the guy who owns that weapon. It's not for sale, but appraised at over $300,000.

I've been thinking, and would like to change my answers.

1. FG42. With lots of magazines & spare parts to boot
2. MG42/MG3 with lots of barrels, and the same
3. Tommygun
4. GAU- Avenger/whatever it is on the A10, with LOTS of DU ammo, linked. On a mount......or with an A10 attached :evil:
5. Gold-Plated Gatling gun. They existed.
