hi, I recently took my super redhawk to the range. Recoil was NOT an issue out of this beast. However I'm interested in trying some Hogue exotic wood grips, without finger grooves. Although this gun handles recoil really well, am I making a mistake? I hate to spend $65.00 and regret it. Does anyone have any experience with these grips?

I bought some Hogue Goncala Alves a while back for my Smith K square. Looked great but the fit was bad. The instructions even mentioned putting some tape on the front of the frame to fix the problem. Avoid them.

I have the Hogue Goncalo Alves monogrip on my S&W M21, the fit is good and it feels great in the hand.
HEAVY loads sting... but its a hard smooth grip so I expect it.
