I got some pretty good scores at the latest gun auction i went to and i would really like to know what i've got for sure and what it may be worth. I plan on keeping most of the dies and the powder measures but i will probably sell the hollywood stuff not sure though yet. Well i'll post the dies first i've got a herters professional set 6.5x55 swede, herters 30-30, hollywood .257 roberts, lee .222, rcbs carbide dies in 38,357, and 44mag/special, and a 8mm mauser die set i can't remember what make i think herters. I also got a bullet puller thats an unknown.
The powder measures i got a redding model 3 and a lyman. the redding has some slight rust on the outside from sitting and needs a resevoir but it should clean up quite well.
The hollywood gun shop press is what I'm most interested in. I'm not really sure what model i have or when it was made I'm guessing the 50's. It is a 12 hole press with just three holes the larger size the rest standard 7/8-14. I took it to a good friend and had him look and the shotgun set up on it and he said that it was for reloading Brass shotshells. Its missing the resevoir on both the powder measure and shot measure but other than that i don't know it is in great working order the owner kept it well lubricated it has the old tent like bag he kept over it that is more or less soaked in oil like a gun rag so it's rust free on the turrent head and a slight patenia on the dies.
So does anyone know if this is for sure for loading brass shotshells and if so whats the whole setup worth and then whats just the press worth. Thank you any info is much appreciated.
