I'm looking for a holster for my Ruger Old Army - nothing too fancy - brown leather with either a flap or a strap. Those old Bianchis were nice but I guess they aren't making them anymore...

The Hunter 1100 - 50 seems a possible choice but I'm not sure if it will fit a 7.5" ROA with adjustable sights. ..anybody got one and can tell me if it fits?

any other recommendations?

anybody have one they're not using?

go look at what Cabelas has to offer ....have several choices....slim jims...strong side or crossdraw...I have one of the least expensive they offer...20 bucks or so.....but is higher quality than the price suggests.....open western I think they called it...and I have a Triple K..a few more bucks...40 or so...is well made....and many others for many more bucks..

For about $20 in leather, needles and thread you could make a Mexican Loop holster.

Take about a snowy day to make, form and stain.

Thanks for the suggestions folks

Loosenock - I'm thinking more and more of doing just that. I found out there's a Tandy store not too far from me. I can use a new hobby

made the trip to the nearest Tandy store - $248 later I'm equipped with everything I need to make a $50 holster

Well.....bought lots of cool leatherworking tools - and a double shoulder of 8 oz. leather.

So - I do have enough to make several holsters - and all the tools I need for what I hope to be an enjoyable hobby.

Congratulations, it has been a rewarding lifelong hobby of mine. I'm sure it will be for you also.
