Large legal firms are going bankrupt in record numbers.

I haven't seen the numbers

There are no jobs for new attorneys. Perhaps there is something to that. Perhaps not.

That is due in large part to advances in software that eliminate the need for labor for many routine tasks once performed by attorneys.

The pandemic hasn't helped.

As I said, this has been my experience.

What hasn't? What has been your experience? Did you experience an unhappy outcome in a civil case? Do you feel you were overcharged?

You making light of that changes nothing.

I do know that I have never met anyone who did not regard his legal expenses as astronomical. That is not the fault of attorneys.

Sir, I've noticed you are a Staff Member. I've answered your questions and if you read carefully, you will see I answered these questions already. I'm not here to argue with you. We clearly have a difference of opinion on this matter, which is okay. I've said everything I needed to say about this. I don't think moving on with this discussion between you and I, on this topic, in these forums, will lead to any further understanding between the two of us. Let's agree to disagree and move on, shall we?

I do not know where you think we disagree.

You have indicated that you have had experiences that indicate, as well as I can tell, that attorneys do not care about winning their cases.

I just don't understand where you are coming from on that. How could they stay in business?

You have said that attorneys are interested in making money.

I do not think that many decent people will make themselves feel better by reflecting upon the character of the deceased.

Well, if the character of the deceased hadn't been what it was, nobody would have gotten hurt, in the first place, now would they?
