Attached is a pic I took of some 1911 grips I made out of australian myrtle I got off ebay.


here is my first attempt at making grips. I used redwood I got off ebay. Beautiful grips, but the wood was too soft and I wasn't all that skilled. I used a belt sander for all the rough sanding, then worked by hand. I drilled holes with regular bits in a cordless drill, then squared off the bottoms with a small router tip on a dremel tool.
