So I just picked up a Lee Reloading manual. I also have a Hornady reloading manual. In the Lee Manual there is 3 Separate sections for 40 S&W bullets for 180 grains.

You have 180 Jacketed Bullet, 180 Grain Lead, and 180 Grain XTP bullets. In the front of the manual it defines XTP (On page 158 under bullet types, Chapter 13) as "Use these loads for Hornady XTP, Speer Gold Dot, or Remington Golden Saber"

My question is do I treat these HAP bullets as Jacketed or XTP? The Hornady website says the HAP is based on the XTP?

Look at the XTP data, Does it have the same powder your using?
I usually just treat them as jacketed bullets because my powder is listed there to be honest. I have noticed most of the time that Lee manual will not have my powders for XTP style.

Of course, You can just use the Hornady Manual

I'll probably go with the Hornady Manual. I picked up the Lee manual cuz I have Lee equipment and wanted a second manual to cross reference.
