Just got an Email from CDNN they have them for $1999.95 which appears to be MSRP for the model described.

I briefly thought about it, but not that much sight unseen, maybe I'll find some to examine at next months HGCA gun show.

My LGS has a display model listed at $1,850 but they don't sell the displays and are out of stock.

Have you tried Atlantic Firearms? From there you can also avoid sales tax.

I saw them at the NRA convention. I like them a lot, but $2000 is a lot of money.

CDNN sent am email stating they have them for $1999. Too much money for me.

We have one for sale at our shop and it's a very cool gun, it balances nicely with great ergonomics. Typical bullpup trigger but it is what it is I guess.

I'm definitely planing to buy one at some point but I'm going to wait and hope that they drop in price a good bit. I wouldn't mind paying around $1,500 for one but I'm not going to pay over $2,000.

Cool rifles for sure, but the cost is just too high for what it is. Its heavier than my AR, worse trigger and less accurate. No grip options does hurt it in my eyes too. As it stands, if it was priced to compete with a Colt 6920 I would get one. But at 2$k you can get a Colt AR AND an Arsenal AK.....

They look cool but not 2K worth of cool to me.

That's my problem with all the newer non-AR 5.56 carbines. The Tavor, AUG, SCAR, ACR, ARX-100, etc. are all really interesting, but I just for the life of me, can't figure out what capability increase they would give me in my activities (range shooting and hunting) over a nice AR-15. Hopefully there are a lot of hi-speed operators floating around out there that need, and are willing to pay for this stuff, because if these companies are depending on folks like me to make their sales goals, they're going to be disappointed.

Not for me. Besides the price (I'd rather put the $$$$ toward a safe), they strike me as trendy, which I'm not. I prefer traditional steel and wood firearms. So y'all can rassle over them, I'll just sit over here and watch.

Just with the non-AR carbines? Because there are plenty of high end AR's that cost just as much and more. However, based on the need you indicated how does an AR actually offer anything more than a cheap bolt action would anyways? You can plink and hunt with one just fine.

There are plenty of high end AR's out there that cost as much and more too. I would venture that the vast majority high end AR's and similar rifles are not bought out of necessity. We buy them because we enjoy owning them and there are lots of us.

Rondog said it!!

I am not "hot to get" anything like that. If it was $500.... Nope, still probably wouldn't get one.

Sure, my needs could be met with a bolt action, but I enjoy shooting and hunting with an auto-loader every now and then. For $1000 I can buy an imminently reliable and accurate AR-15 that will meet my needs, and the needs of those much more "tactical" than I. What exactly does the extra $1000 for the Tavor, et al. buy me? It buy's me nothing, and I'd rather put that $1000 somewhere else. If other folks feel that extra $1000 buys them something, that's fine.

I understand your point about people buying stuff because they want it, it's just that even when I'm buying stuff I want I still look at best value.

the AR and AK you mentioned is 10 times better then a tavor which is gun that some people want just because it is new and radical. I have no interest in a bullpup but if I did the Styer Aug is the classic one and still looks futuristic evn thogh introduced 30 years ago. with all the money we send over there the tavors should be a lot cheaper
