9. Diebold's new touch screen voting machines have no paper trail of any

DECEMBER 2004 GALLUP POLLS
1 in 5 Americans believe the elections were fraudulent. That's over 41
Million Americans.

I believe both elections were technically questionable, and would not be surprised at all if the results were altered significantly, but I must also say that this thread is not really gun related.

It is much simpler. Bush won because they put gay marriage on the ballot in every state that was even partly close. This mobilized the christian evangelical vote.

The various conspiracy theories are unnecessary.

My theory about the 2004 election

The Democrats spent so much negative energy complaining about the 2000 election that they didn't develop any positive energy for the 2004 election.

Looks like it is happening again...

I have tried very hard not to do it

but I guess the time has come. *Looking around for some tinfoil* It's time I joined the tinfoil hat brigade.:D

I remember a time when the loser of an election shook hands with the winner and made a speech about how we should all get behind him. Then everyone worked together to get things done for the good of the people. And I'm not that old.

What we have now seems almost like a natural byproduct of a party system that has far outlived it's usefulness (if it ever had any). Maybe one day we can get rid of parties and then We The People can just vote for whichever candidate is best, and none of them will have any obligation to anyone but their constituents.

Hey, Boogeyman, here's some advice: Bush won, your boy Scary John ("I lied about my war record") Kerry lost. Now, go have a glass of warm milk and a good cry.

hmm...so this means that the dems only have to buy controlling interest in these companies to win? Hope Feinstein & Company don't find out about this....

Must you?
Your the one aways bringing up Bush in other topics, proclaiming him to be the greatest thing for RTKBA in 100 years.
Now's your chance to do it in a thread that's appropriate.
I'd say that was gun related... :neener:

OH FOR GOD'S SAKE

Can we please sh*tcan these stupid "BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION / KERRY IS A LIAR AND A FATMOUTH" type threads???

FFS, folks, the elections are OVER. We're stuck with Bush until his term ends, or he gets impeached (unlikely, )

These stupid threads just tend to degenerate (not that they have far to go) into mindless name-calling and accusations of being zealots for a particular party. NONE of this crap is remotely related to the purpose of THR, and in fact, stinks the place up like a week old dirty jock strap.

Whole thing seems unreal, the 2 main parties spend so much energy fighting each other, to get elected and take orders from the same people. I just wonder whether screwing the people is their primary goal or just incidental.

But that's definately a nice opening thread post, nominee for best documented argument?

Agreed.
