Just pure curiosity. I have a G22C and a Ruger Vaquero 45 within a foot or less.

The Ruger is always in my desk. The G22C moves about.

How about you?

Pics, of course, are always cool.

Stay safe.

A P229 and SP101 are inches away. An 870 is two steps away, and another 870 is within ten feet. I am propped up in bed at the moment.

Oddly enough there is a Taurus 1911 frame in a Mech Tech upper a foot away and a fully loaded and ready Steyr M9-A1 roughly 5 feet away....

Well, I'm sitting in the loo right now, so I'd literally be caught with my pants down. But I'm on the third floor of my residence, so hopefully I'd be able to reach the gun readily accessible in the nearest bedroom if I hear any sort of break-in coming from downstairs.

right at this moment i'm at work and my hd gun is 40 miles away. When i'm @ home theres something always nearby when i'm at home

I use the Ruger as my "desk gun." It's nice to know that if my CCW or other is on the third floor, and I'm working in my office which is on the first floor, the Vaquero .45 is in the desk and a second or two away.

As often as I'm online I just think it makes sense. I also keep one of my Surefire lights in the drawer as well.

Any one else have a dedicate desk / computer use / home theater / room-specific gun or guns?

I like the idea that if I'm in a room or on any of the floors of my place a handgun (if not being carried) is close by. Oh, I also keep flashlights with them.

Awake and dressed: on the hip. Awake, but not dressed: within the same room (there are at least two loaded guns, and sometimes more, and one frequently gets moved out of the bedroom when I move out for the day.
Asleep: bedside, usually on the floor beneath my side of the bed, or on the bedside table.

My GP 100 is right within easy reach in front of my computer (empty) . . . there are two speed-loaders on the desk, filled with snap-caps, so I can safely practice reloads here. The live ammo is across the room, including two speed-loaders, one with .38 and one with .357, so I'm seconds away from being armed.

I've got one right next to my computer mouse. I have a 12 gauge within about 6 feet. I live in a small studio apartment so none of my guns are very far from me.

Let me think...

I thought it was somewhere in the desk, but now that you mention it I don't seem to find it... :uhoh:

Maybe I left it in the kitchen, don't think so, but it could be in the oven... :what:

No... Well then I'll look in the frige...

I'm sure it's not in the car, but it doesn't matter because I don't know where I parked it...

I'm sure I couldn't have lost anything that big.

Don't worry, I'll let you know when I find it... ;)

Now if I can just remember where the ammunition is... :D

Well, right now I'm cleaning some of the collection, but assuming the OP was asking how far it would be normally. Theyre usually close enough if I need one, unless I'm in the shower, then its more than an arms length.
