How Do I Use My Red Dot Sight Correctly?

The Bushnell TRS-25 is a very basic model, and the reticle is only a dot that gets bigger when you increase the brightness (11 levels - is that an homage to Spinal Tap?).

Again, unfamiliar with the Bushnell, but with most red dots the dot MOA does actually increase with brightness setting. You can verify this by noting how much of the target the dot covers with increasing brightness, given a fixed distance.

If your red dot lens is dirty it will increase in size because of the refractions from the dirt / grease.

Gently, very gently clean your lens with a clean soft cloth and cleaning solution. You can make your own cleaning solution with 1% dish soap added to alcohol.
