What is described above is "decocked." (If you have a decocker CZ, it decocks to the half-cock notch. And any CZ with a decocker (or any CZ in the "B" series) also has a firing pin block -- and the gun can't be fired (intentionally or accidentally) unless the trigger is pulled fully to the rear.
Hammer down on a loaded chamber with decocker set to enable firing. Why spend your money for such a carry piece if you're not going to fully utilize its design?
My fnp-45 has a decocker and the double action trigger on it is actually pretty nice (for a double action) so i carry mine loaded and decocked for a DA pull then subsequent shots in SA.
If you decock a Walther P99 QA, which has a "decocker", you take the pistol out of commission until the slide is racked, so in this case, I would not decock the pistol and I would carry it in it's pre-cocked condition with one in the chamber.
All Sigs with decockers are designed to be carried decocked with a DA first shot. I would carry a Sig with a decocker, in the decocked state with one in the chamber.
I used to own an H&K USPc as well as a P30S, which both had decockers, but I carried both of them cocked and locked with one in the chamber.
It depends on the specific pistol. It would be the same as if you asked, "how do you carry a pistol with a safety?".
Hammer down on a loaded chamber. If it is safety equipped like an S&W TDA, Ruger P-series, Beretta 92FS, etc., I switch the safety off after the pistol has been decocked.
