How do you like his BHP....Not a classic any more, for sure!

I actually think a Jolly Roger would be pretty neat. My dislike of it is mainly an aesthetic one, and also it's difficult to take someone seriously when they've carved comic book skulls into their perfectly good pistols.

I'm old but I understand the desire to decorate. However I'm not about to be found any time soon at a tattoo joint.

You're crossing your wires there a bit. Tattoos in general tend to be popular these days, but SKULL tattoos aren't something you see as much anymore. I'm not that young (still under 30 though), but just about all my friends have tattoos. None of any skulls. Religious symbols, dreamcatchers, tribal emblems, kanji, butterflies, pinup girls, etc are common. The plain hearts, skulls/jolly roger, ship anchor, etc, are the old stuff you see on guys who got tattoo's back in the 60's :).

Better that than having a image of a skull etched on a BHP that's etched on your skull by a BHP.

I have tattoos on both arms, my back, and one leg. If I were going to make a generalization about tattoos and stuff engraved on guns, it'd be that if I wouldn't have it tattooed on my arm, I don't want it on my pistol. If I were going to get some comic book character's logo inked into my flesh, I'd sooner get The Bat Signal than that lamoid Punisher skull. That'd also relieve me of the idea of defacing a gun, too, as Batman hasn't used guns since about 1940.

In this age of self mutilation why not gun mutilation too but I also think it looks cheap and tacky. I also don't like the two tone and the dull finish, but to each his own.

Compare that look to this....

I'd get a Chaos star on my guns, just to match the Chaos Star on my shoulder .... or an imperial eagle for the same reasons, but I do kinda have to say the Punisher skull is a bit meh.
