Not that I'm eyeing a Sig 228 or anything....but what .40 mags fit (229?) and how many 9mms feed and fit in it reliably, if at all?

Your better off looking at a 226. PRK models use 10 round neutered mags but the pistol was designed for 15 rounds of 9mm.

Not sure about the .40 mags my uneducated guess would be 13-15 rounds of 9mm. Not sure if the .40 mags will even fit a 9mm 228/229.

Get a Sig 226 and some 17 round Mec-Gars and just be done with it.

10 round mags for sale, trade or give away is VERBOTEN in the PRK. Using 40 mags in 9mm is the only legal way around it.

sigs could be a whole new ballgame depending on how mecgar decided to limit the number of rounds in a .40 mag, but i have no trouble loading 14 9mm rounds in my factory beretta 96 mags and them seem to work fine in a friend's 92fs...of course, the post-ban 96 mag body is the same as the pre-ban 92 mag body

Be very careful, depending on the exact wording, using legal 10 round .40 mags with 9mm and more than 10 rounds of ammo in any 9mm gun may be ILLEGLAL!

10-ring, I don't know about you, but all my normal-caps I purchased pre-ban, for cash, long ago, and have been in my possesion ever since.

mags are still legal as long as they are not modified as to no longer function in the original firearm

beretta mags fit that description

Oh yes, I always forget about the PRK thing. Well, maybe Skunk needs to make a trip out of state. :D

How long have you been a Kali resident Skunk? If it's been awhile, then it's not like they could prove you didn't have the mags before the ban.
