Why in hell would anyone need "4 or more" guns in there car unless they were driving to the range?

How do you fit the extra tin foil hats in there with so many firearms?

Fortunately for me, I have a good job with the Gubmn't. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have guns on that property, so I usually have the big goose egg.

For me it is usually 2-3. It all depends on what I am carrying that day. There is usually a shotgun behind the seat in my pick up. My usual carry gun is a cz 75 so that will be on mybelt and sometimes a NAA mini revolver in my front pocket. Then again there are days when I kind of get a wild hair and carry my .45 single action, those days it is just the single action (the thing is heavy) and whatever is behind the seat.
Then again if I am headed to work it is none of the above (I am a school teacher so no guns on Campus, what a bunch of crap but I like to stay out of jail so I obey).

Not counting my carry gun, at present I have a Ruger stainless Security Six and a rifle in each vehicle and usually a 2 inch 38. These stay in the vehicles 24/7.

None.

I can't take a gun to work, and don't want to leave it in the car for fear of carjacking or it being stolen.

On trips outside the city where I don't have to worry as much about theft from the vehicle, and where hitting a deer or other animal becomes a real possibility, I'll bring something along.

I said three because I forget.

Saturday I couldn't find my cz82. Looked everywhere.

It was under the seat of my car. It's been weeks since I drove the car. I usually drive the truck.

Being I always carry a holdout and a primary, gun under the seat must count for three...

Yet another poll without enough options. I keep one gun in the if I'm alone in the car. If my wife is with me there are two.

Interestingly enough the glove box of a 97 Chrysler LHS seems to have been made with his and her handguns in mind. There is a small dividing shelf that is just wide enough to keep her Bersa Thunder from rattling against my S&W, and we can both reach into the glove box at the same time get our weapons without interfering with each other.

Togetherness is a great thing!:D

I thought everybody had at least a shotgun behind the seat.

Right now I keep a single shot 410 and marlin 22 model 39 for summer time farm work.

I also have my little Hi Point 995 just because I can.

During hunting season and late winter I usually have a deer rifle of my flavor of the day and or my little 223.

Being as how...

there's no ccw in Ill-inois and local laws vary on transport. I carry three or more in locked (quickly) cases and have printed pages of the two state laws pertaining to transport to give LEO's who may not be familiar with state law. I've never been searched except for DNR who saw and recognized gun case and asked for FOID and permission to inspect the guns. I gave him FOID but not permission. He called sarge who agreed wth me. I was not stopped for a violation but was going fishing and he saw the case when I opened the trunk for my tackle. He also asked for my fishing license, even though I wasn't fishing, but was thinking about it.Too many laws, too many leos.:fire:

I see these "How many guns?" in your car, home, safe questions all the time in the forums and I often wonder why someone would want to know?

We're paying good money to these people to post those queries on gun sites like this one. We find the information very useful.

By the way, could you turn so we can capture your profile on the camera as you walk into the gunshow?

John

ETA: An armed society is a polite society. The best gunfight is the one you aren't present for. Failing that, I want a rifle, not a pistol, at a gunfight. As such, I plan accordingly.

Why, you ask:

Why in hell would anyone need "4 or more" guns in there car

It kind of chafes me when someone tells me what I NEED, as though I'm eight years old.

Why would anyone NEED a car that can go faster than 70mph?

Why would anyone NEED a car to begin with?

Here's a hypothetical for you:

Why in the 'hell' would anyone 'need' 4 or more guns in their (note spelling) car?

Well, if you were out of town and something really bad happened and your car was your escape pod and you and a good friend or significant other are in the car. Think earthquake or Katrina.

If you hand handguns for two people, and long guns for them as well, you would then have the option of not submitting to thugs and predators threatening you with violence. You could be a man, not a sheeple.

Or, you would have them handy for an impromptu trip to the range.

A person could carry a lot worse things in his or her trunk.

By the way, cars are less likely to be broken into than homes. Does that mean all those demanding "no guns in cars" because they might get stolen also advocate "no guns in homes" that aren't stored in Ft. Knox safes too?

Can you please point out where I told you what you 'need' in your car? I asked why you would need so many, which you did...Or did the tin foil get in the way of the computer screen.:neener:

Thanks for noting the spelling correction professor templar.;)

I voted four, although it varies between one & six.

No tinfoil hat paranoia here, Bazooka. You're such a card, a joker! :D

I always have my CCW, and employers policies being what they are, I mostly keep that in the vehicle.

I almost always have a single shot 12 gauge and a .22 rifle of some kind. You never know when the urge to run up to the lease is going to hit, and I like to have carry a long gun while poking around. I have a tendency towards laziness so just leave them in the vehicle most of the time.

I'll also keep a truck gun, usually a Charter .44 Bulldog, in the console "fer snakes 'n setch".

If both my wife and I are hunting the lease for real, that's a couple more long guns in there.

I don't like the idea of weapons being left unattended in a vehicle. So the only weapon in my vehicle is the one in my holster.
