How Many Guns do You Own?

I just gotta say I'm sick of all this "I lost them in a boating accident" or "sold them all" crap.

It's not humorous, just pathetic.

Didn't lose them in a boating accident, all mine where on a Cessna 182 that crashed into the lake next to all your guy's boats.:D

Yeah...I need pity for having to sell all my guns...oh...and a guv'ment check!

Enough that I can't remember and need to keep them all written down, not enough to stop buying them.

Really, in the neighborhood of 30 right now, might actually be dead on 30.

How many I have now isn't as important as how many I will eventually have. And I will have 69.

Take that, Pelosi

Someone give me the GPS coords for the lake, I know were I'm going for vacation, gonna practice some scuba diving, BTW I charge 20% on salvage.

400+ at in the vault, 75 or S&W wheelguns, 50+ HK's many other things...

but I lived on a houseboat......the vault was not the brightest idea I ever had, it sunk :(

I have more guns than my wife has shoes, but she has more purses than I have guns.

Go figure.

I really don't understand this "sold them/lost them" crowd. Yep, it was funny the first 10 or 20 times, but then it really doesn't contribute anything. I totally understand people not caring to divulge that information, so why not ignore the thread if you'd rather keep it private?

I also totally understand someone's curiosity as to how many guns people own. The topic is not "list everything in your collection," simply how many. I'm sure we've all wondered that about someone else's collection (and some of us about our own ;) at some point.

Honestly, if the Government went on forums with the ATF's team of elite hackers finding out who we all are so they can find us and take our guns away, they're going to investigate the "I lost them all" crowd just as seriously as anyone else. However, I have a feeling that trolling forums and hacking people's computers is not even close to the easiest way for the ATF and other agencies to find out what you have. I'm sure we're all familiar with the ole' 4473.

As if the manpower exists to find and target gun owners that way and secretly disarm them all at once before others find out what's going on anyway. Sorry, but it doesn't happen overnight and the govenment is not nearly that well organized.

You give more information away about yourself by simply showing up to a range or gun store (unless you remove your license plate, wear a mask, always pay only with cash, shoot in a blacked out box so nobody can see what you have...).

Rant mode off.

In response to the thread topic, I own 17 firearms. I've been collecting since I was 13 but somehow am the only gun guy in my family.

Oh, and I am also issued a Colt M4A1 outfitted with an ACOG, Aimpoint micro T-1, and a PEQ-16 laser/light system. My personal additions are a UTG folding bipod, a CAA cheek rest, and a Magpul B.A.D. lever. Oh wait! I don't want the Government to know I have that one!:uhoh::rolleyes:

I am not even back to zero yet. I have bought and sold too many... more sold than anything.

Yesterday, I had to purchase a gun I sold one already because I regretted it. I have 2 more purchases to make and I will back at zero.

My arsenal

Well, I came to realize that the one-and-only gun I owned - a pistol for self protection - was unnecessary as the police are my protection and I pay good tax dollars for the service. So I tossed the revolver as far as I could into a local park pond, after hammering it with a sledge on the sidewalk. Thanks for asking.

been shooting for 59 years--had 46 guns after oldest grad. from military school--sold 16 later----just too many to take care of......................
It's been a fun trip--------------been reloading about 35 years

Well, I am embarrassed to admit it but I only own 3 guns . I have two pistols and a rifle.

I hope to add many more in the years to come, after all I'm only 21.

Like askin' somebody... "How much money do you have?" Only in public. My momma taught be better. None of anybody's damn business be it weapons, cattle, land or money.
