I think this has been done before but it was a long time ago.

Vote in the above poll and list what you've got and how old you are if you have time. I'm just interested.

I'm 19 and I've got:

-Springfield Armory Loaded in .45 ACP with a few mods
-Springfield Armory Standard M1A
-Springfield Armory XD9
-Colt 1911 made in 1918 (about to sell this one to Mr. Byron Quick)
-IAI M888 M1 Carbine (USGI parts on a new receiver)
-Winchester Model 1894 in .30-.30
-Remington 870 Express Magnum in 12 guage
-Remington model 700 ADL in .243
-Norinco Model 97T
-Mosin Nagant M91/30
-Savage Model 64FX in .22LR
-NEF single shot 20 guage
-Ruger 10/22 in .22LR
-O.F. Mossberg Model 44 in .22LR

My arsenal

1) Taurus Tracker 357 magnum
2) Taurus Millenium Pro 40
3) Springfield XD 40
4) Ruger 22/45
5) Mossberg 500 12 gauge-18.5" barrell

how many?

I don't really know. Just brought home a T48 a 1/2 hour ago! Have more 30 calibres than I and my family can carry at one time and I have 4 adult kids + one teenager. Lord only knows how much ammo I've got. And then the handguns outnumber rifles a little, maybe

I had a bunch, but decided they were bad (bad!) and turned them in at a buy-back. I have lots of Target gift cards now and I feel safer. :D

Let's see...

The Yugo SKS, Rommie AK, Rem BDL 7mm, Ruger 10/22, Rem 870 12 gauge, Glock 20, and HK USP Tactical. That would be seven--which isn't bad considering my income.

The USP will probably become my dad's relatively soon because I told him if he would pay to have it fixed, he could have it. Then down the road if he could chip in a couple hundred to help me get whatever I decide on for a CCW (right now either a Glock 29 or 30), that would be great.

I got a FAL and either Tromix Saiga conversion or Arsenal Inc on the to-get list as well.

I suppose I could be paranoid but I am not. I already have the guns and taking them away from me is the hard part.

Don't fall for this fellows!!

This poll may have been started by the people we fear the most about knowing how many guns we have

our WIVES!!!:what: :what:

Nosey polls are annoying!

Actually GW .. you're on to something. "Don't fall for this fellows" is actually good advice, and when zoom6zoom responded, it was what I believe is the best comment. One would be a fool to list their "entire" inventory over the internet, however, little white lies are acceptable.

My tin foil may be showing a little here, but if our government were to at some point succomb to madness and pass laws to confiscate weapons, wouldnt sites like this just be very convenient lists for doors to kick in, etc.?

No tin foil. You ascended to aluminum can, so I do believe you're moving up in the ranks. The famous words from an uncle of mine ... it's very short, simple, and direct: "Keep your private life "private!""

How do you answer when someone you don't know very well asks this question? While I used to be more open about my answers, I've become more guarded in recent years after experiencing some bias from some coworkers and acquaintances. Today my standard response is "I have a 20 gauge shotgun I bought for bird hunting about 10 years ago." This gives me a chance to draw out how they feel about the subject of gun ownership before I tell them about the half dozen or so handguns I own, particularly the one which may be under my jacket at the time. I find this works better than the "None of your business" or "Why do you want to know?" which seems to create a confrontational atmosphere.
