Guilty at least one . Started carrying in about 8th grade . lately I have been carrying a "Rescue knife " Very PC Our Carry permits in NC do not cover a knife .. ONLY hand guns .

My dad gave me my first pocket knife when I was 6 yrs old. I've been carrying one or more ever since. Luckily, I don't fly.

currently a gerber is in my pocket

I carried Gerber knives for years but they started to get really cheap so I bought myself a knife I didn't have to replace every 2 years or less. Actually it got down to where I was replacing those knives about every 6 months before I moved on. I cut halfway through a nail tonight before I realized what I was doing. It didn't hurt my S30V Kershaw Blur one bit. It was still sharp. That's a knife. It's built like a tank but doesn't cost as much as a tank. It isn't the sharpest knife I own but it is definitely the toughest and it's plenty sharp enough. It's very sharp actually but I can make a Buck knife cut like a scalpel.

My EDC is either my Emerson Desert Roadhouse or Emerson Super Roadhouse - both folders and solid, hefty workhorses that can double as excellent defensive knives.

I also EDC a Spartan Enyo fixed blade along my belt line and, more and more often, also a Fox 479 Karambit folder with the Emerson Wave feature as a weak side back-up.

pretty much my edc since 2007, the dynamic duo of Case yeller CV med stockman and my Buck alpha dorado (154cm/Bos HT) made the leather pocket sheath to help keep the dorado upright

On days that I am forced to wear dress slacks.Or light shorts in summer the PM2 gets replaced with slim, ultra-light Benchmade 530.

Of the 45+ times a month that I grab at my Reeve folder...

Probably 8 or less times are to use it as a cutting knife. I'm continually astounded at men that don't have a knife on them. I don't look down on its absence - just surprised.

Not unlike that other of a man's necessary item as taught by my father: A small retractable 8 foot tape... "A man shouldn't guess..." Probably use the tape at least 12 times a month.

Had a well known firearms manufacturer over to my alternate house last week (poorly stocked in the kitchen - no openers about), handed him a non twist off beer and watched him shamedly hand it back to be opened as he had no knife on him.

No knife? Might as well tell me to leave my shoe laces at home.

I generally carry two folders. One is typically a modern with a clip and it is clipped to either the back right pants pocket or to the left front leg pocket on cargo pants. The other will usually be a large 111mm SAK in my right front pocket and it gets the most use. There is also a small SAK that I have on a key chain that is often in my pocket as well, but I don't count it as much of a knife. Sometimes will substitute a larger two bladed traditional slip joint for the modern with clip. But still, there are two usually.

I have no interest in using a knife for self defense. I don't even fantasize about that sort of thing.

I EDC a pocket folder and a CRKT Minimalist around my neck. I use to carry a Kershaw Blur, but I've had some people at my job make joking comments about it being a weapon, or just giving me odd looks. As a result, I started carrying a Kershaw Shuffle instead... Smaller blade and has a bottle opener and a flat head screwdriver on it...

Carried a pocket knife every day since 1961. A spyderco, a HUGGS, or a CRKT M-16 depending, and at times a Besh wedge neck knife. I have 13 pocket knives.
Feel naked when I fly. I always carry the largest blade legal (I live in Illinois).
Every boy carried a pocket knife in the '50s. We played Mumblypeg (?) at recess. Times were different!

I have three on me right now, but usually only one on my person.

There is an Emerson La Griffe in my shoulder bag, as well as a Leatherman tool. The La Griffe is a defensive knife, but is mostly in the bag because I've never bothered to put it anywhere else. The Leatherman is there because I often need the screwdriver.

I carry a Canal Street Cutlery three-blade Cannitler because traditional.

Used to, but not anymore.

I used to work in a lumberyard and camped a lot, so I always carried a knife on my belt.

Nowadays, I'm in a cushy office job or on an airplane to visit customers. Too much time on airplanes and too little time to deal with the TSA.

I have a Gerber folder in my glove box just in case... stubborn packaging, etc.

Still bust out the Swiss Army Knife from time to time from my Boy Scout days.

I carry a Swiss Army Knife every day. Laugh if you want but I have opened more wine bottles than I have been in knife fights.

"Laugh if you want but I have opened more wine bottles than I have been in knife fights."

Well done, sir.

I rotate daily carry...sometimes a ZT0350, sometimes a Kershaw Nerve ST; not counting the Halligan Peck wharnecliff which is "attached" to the money clip. So always at least two but the occasional fixed blade serves, too.

I normally carry 2 a 4" lock blade in my back pocket, usually a Benchmade, and a slip joint folder up front, multiple knives in rotation for both
