How many guys carry at least 1 knife?

I carry one of two of my many knives when I leave the house, or working around the house. An old Gerber folder, and a Kershaw Leek. The old Gerber carries much lighter and the blade is partially serrated. It is a very good work knife. Keeps an edge very well. The Leek, well it had a "marked down 50%" price at the gun show. I really like the knife. I priced the knife at Academy after the show, and, I , uh, never mind. Another impulse buy.

In addition to this:

Or something similar on each of the vehicle keys one on the belt and one in the pocket.

These are the two things I carry with me when I leave the house. The knife is a S&W spring assisted knife that is 7 1/2" long. Before that I carried a Case canoe knife for years. I still have the case knife, but I wanted something a little more ..... substantial for the lack of a better word. I see myself carrying this one for a long time.

I carry one of the cheap but reliable Smith and Wessons sold at AutoZone stores around here. When they get dull, I buy another..

Isn't there a separate knives board here?

(Edit: not quite, but there is a "non-firearms weapons" one that includes knife talk..)

I actually carry three. An itzzy bitzzy Swiss Army knife on my key ring for at least the last 30 years. A mini- switch blade (1 ¼” blade) clipped in the loop in my suspenders. And a 3 ½” lock blade that cost a whopping $2.50 at the swap meet, made in China, plastic grips, but it’s only weights 2 oz and actually hold a good edge.

Man doesn't carry a knife might as well carry a purse. I have a Spyderco Bill Moran riding horizontally on my belt most days.

jdh, your post (27) is missing the image..

I checked it with firefox, chrome, and exploder browswers. It shows for me in all three. What are you using and is anyone else not seeing it?

Everyday! My primary carry is a Spyderco Delica 4. On the weekends it is a Benchmade 710. In dressier clothes I carry an Opinel #7. A small SAK Manager is always in my pocket too. Its great when I need to jot something down out of the blue. Or file my nails, snip a loose string, fiddle with small screws....

The Paramilitary 2 is on my wishlist for my primary. Cant justify it just yet. Gotta wear out the Delica first. It may be a while.

Always at least one, my whole life.

Only been disarmed twice in my life.
Once in basic training in 1962 when they took my little 2" Case slip-joint pocket knife and didn't give it back.
(Then issued me an M-14 bayonet, and an intrenching tool a week later!)

And once a few years ago when I appeared for jury duty with a SAK and a Benchmade AFCK in my pants.

No mention of the belt with the 'club'm senseless, then choke'm dead' heavy brass belt buckle I was wearing.

I always have a little Gerber 200, I really love that little knife and it is amazing what a big job that little knife can tackle when it has to (when I haven't had a bigger knife).

Funny, my EDC the last 5-6 yrs was a Delica. I accidentally left it in the pocket of my jeans that I packed in my carry-on bag. Had to leave it at the airport.

Wasn't going to spend the money on the Paramilitary 2 but my accountant told me I needed to spend about $1000 from my C corp before the end of the year for tax purposes so I decided that I could call it a business expense and made the purchase ;). I've only had it about 2 weeks but I freakin love it! I'll be sick if I ever lose it.

A Spyderco Delica4 is among my EDC stuff. It's great, and I don't ever carry a second knife. Considered picking up a K-Bar TDI (smaller version) and also wearing that daily, but haven't done so yet.

I carry a Schrade Old Timer 90% of the time, in a belt pouch.

I also have several other knives I'll rotate through, but my other go-to carry knife is my Benchmade Barrage axis lock assisted opener.

Nope, never. Knives are dangerous weapons don't you know that?!

^^^ Total sarcasm (hard to convey through type). I always have one on me, necker, and usually have a second, and/or third as well. Always fixed blades as a folding knife is a broken knife.

I am rarely without a knife, I guess its that apache blood. The odd thing is, being 33 years old, I can remember loaning a teacher a knife in elementary school, and remember someone being expelled for having a knife in high school.

EDC is a cheap(ish) Gerber folder. Also have a cheap Sheffield on my backpack in case I manage to leave without a knife. My two favorites are Kershaw Aviators, purchased at Wal-Mart for about 35 bucks (each) a few years ago. I lost one, replaced it, then found the other. I don't carry them right now, the clips are loose, and I don't have a small enough torx bit to tighten then.

I normally wear carpenter's jeans, and carry the knife in the small tool pocket. Surefire G2 something dual output in the large tool pocket.

I limit myself to around $35 for an EDC, have since a Benchmade got stolen.

The Spyderco Sharpmaker was my prefered sharpener, however I ended up breaking some of the stones, and can't find the rest of it. I think it got tossed when I cleaned out the garage I rented. I replaced it with a similar one from Smith's that has one set of stones at one angle. It aint the sharpmaker, but its well worth the price, and works well enough that another sharpmaker isnt a high priority.

I generaly have a Leatherman tool on my belt, i sometimes have my Buck 110 and if I dont have the big Buck along I have a couple of smaller lockblades I carry. If Im dressing up I have a Buck stockmans 3 bladed pen knife in my pocket.
