My "best buddy" one day ran in my house, got MY BB gun and shot the COP'S kid.

Reeeeeeaaaallll smart.

The cops came and were gonna take my BB gun til my buddy admitted that he DID go in the house to get it.

Close call.

I am also a survivor of the BB wars, but I don't know how. I guess it was because by the time pneumatics came on the scene, I was smart enough to recognize that the ping with the accompanying rolling sound was the BB penetrating the garbage can I was hiding behind. That was it for me.

Also, I was one of the unfortunates to like to loft Cherry Bombs with a Wrist Rocket. Had one crush on me while pulling back a little too far. Flared up, and burned my hand and the surgical tubing on my Rocket. Enough of that too.

I find it AMAZING.....
that out of this many posts.....over so long a time......that nobody ELSE...

ever coated .....FIRECRACKERS in model airplane glue......and left them overnight in a little bitty paper cup ...... FULL of BBs.

Frag, frag, frag.

Bwahahahahahah we did the same thing. There was this kid in the neighborhood named Harlen and he was our ordinamce expert. He made some hum dingers.

We had 100+ foot trees in our yard and we had a 200 ft zip line across the front. The best war games in history took place at our house. :D

Son of AZLib wants a paintball setup for Christmas, and I told him that I don't approve. I don't like the idea of making a game of shooting people.

So far, I've been able to dodge the question that's sitting in my head: "So if you don't approve of paintball, tell me the story again about you and your brother playing "war" with your BB guns?"

I survived a BB gun war, and only one. Within the first five minutes I got pegged in the thumbnail by friendly fire while pointing out the enemy. Lost the nail about three weeks later and I don't remember ever being in more pain - and I had broken three bones and several other injuries while growing up.

One more

I must admit to having many a BB gun war. It is amazing how tactical you can be at 10 years old. We had these wild plans with fall back positions and everything. I think most of the fun was the battle plans that we would draw up weeks before any actuall BB gun fight.
