Judging by the number of new registrations over the past few years, I would have to say that outside of several good members in South Africa, and a few in Namibia, we have none. The next most new registrations have come from Nigeria and Cameroon, and all of them have been either spammers or scammers who are quickly found out and banned. Sad but true.

I used to work there (East Africa). The guns are imported by arms dealers. See the movie Lord of War. It's based on a true story. Most of the countries don't have a normal market (or a market at all) for guns. Many of the soldiers and civilians I encountered had 1-4 mags. Most of the guns looked - and were - quite worn and old.

As large as Africa is, there are 100 variations on the above situation. West Africa is far different than east, South Africa (the country), Egypt and Morocco might as well be on separate planets.

I am from South Africa. guns are heavily restricted but it is possible to get one. I just took delivery of my first Glock 19 a couple of weeks back. Due to our history, gun ownership/ culture is mostly limited to Whites, and there is a lack of understanding/ knowledge of guns within other races. But it looks like this is starting to change. But as ever, the Government is trying to restrict gun ownership even more than it already is.

Prices fluctuate depending on whether the govt. has been confiscating them lately. Most are old Soviet AKs from various civil wars. Ammo - good question; I am too far down the food chain to get a sense of sources. But there seems to be plenty, if expensive ($1.00 US a round).
