Some of the shot-gunners at my club would blow us out of the water. Lots of those guys have 5 figures tied up in a scattergun. :what:

Winchester 1885 Single Shot ("Highwall")
$1600 (Some years ago.)
Baldwin tang & globe sights
$500
Lyman dies and bullet mould, brass, accessories.
$300
Total
$2400

Plus dedicated consumables; 20:1 lead:tin, SPG, Swiss
$700 on hand now.

Wish I had kept that Perazzi, though.

If we can only count one optic, somewhere a bit over $3K is my AR (including LMT Monolithic Rail Platform and multiple barrels and a couple bolt/BCGs for it, and a Horus Talon x1-4 optic). If I also count my ACOG, more like $4K.

Savage .308 hunter combo - 400
Leupold M4 6.5-20X scope - 1100
Leupold 4"sunshade tube - 40
Badger rings and base - 300
McMilan A5 stock - 700
Hart Barrel - 690
harris bipod - 60
total -3290 roughly, that could be off by as much as 50 bucks, not including ammo, or reloading supplies

my next most expensive would be my AR with badger rings and a SS scope, that was about 1300 all total

About $800 in an AR that I picked up used. My grandfather gave me a legit GI M1 Carbine, I have no idea what that's worth but it's a fun shooter and I try to take care of it.

$2075 for my FS2000, although by the time I get my Mk14 EBR together it will easily surpass it...

I previously had more money in a Colt M4gery, but sold the upper before the ban sunset, and bought a complete LE6920 with the sale.

My SVT 40 mint 43 refurb is my most expensive.

Nice looking SVT. What are they going for now days? I picked up a good condition one back in 01 for $300. It seems the original magazines are now going for prices approaching that.

tepin, what caliber is your Savage LRPV in? How do you like it?
It is a .223 and I really do like the gun. The trigger is light and crisp. I probably spent too much on the Leopold but oh well... here is a pic:

My Remington 700P which I bought over ten years ago. The rifle was about $700+ new. I got the Leupold Vari-X III 6.5x20x50mm scope with target turrets for $450 new from a dealer going out of business. The Timney trigger was about $200.

That's about as much as I can afford for a rifle.

M1A-$1200, 20 mags-$400, 3000 rounds of ammo at over $500 per thousand for 7.62 surplus-$1500. Mind you I didn't pay this much, just going by the value at todays prices.

Bought a Mauser M03 extreme last week. Mounted a Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50 scope on it . Cost , a tad over 6000 dollars. Your a long time dead and you can't take the money with you :).

Your a long time dead and you can't take the money with you

Which is why you just can't - CAN'T spend life shooting an ugly plastic stocked gun. :p C'mon, you have GOT to get a nice wood stock for that great rifle & awesome scope now! :)

PremiumSauces, I do like a nice piece of wood on a gun. My other rifles and shotgun have good wood on them. But after much thought and the fact that we hunt through the winter months with plenty of rain and snow i decided on the plastic stock. So far i like the Mauser very much and sighting it in i was very pleased with the accuracy.

A picture of my Heym- Ruger.Bought 30 years ago. Paid 750 GB pounds for it and i don't think I've bought any thing that has given me so much shooting pleasure

EOTech - $355
MIAD - $35
CTR - $150
AAC M4-1k - $577.50
tax stamp - $200

I'll have to add it up from memory-

98k Mauser- $200
New barrel, polished blueing, bolt face trueing, etc.- $665 (I thimk)
NECG double set trigger- $250
NECG, cartridge trap- $125
sling swivels- $80
Sunny Hill bottom metal- $560
New firing pin & spring- $65
New bolt catch and safety- $150 (I think)
Scope bases- $25
Scope rings- $45
Leupold VXIII 6.5-20 with 30 mm tube- $680
Dakota skeleton butt plate- $95
Dakota skeleton grip cap- $75
Reloading dies for 6.5x.284- $75
Lapua brass (200)- $160
Stock #1- $175 got finished with it and took to much out between trigger and
receiver)
Stock #2 (haven't ordered yet, but decided to step up in grade)- $450
Hard aluminum gun case- $250

Custom gun built myself (except for receiver/barrel work) --$3925
Time spent doing it, and learning all the ins and out of how it works--PRICELESS

This project started out as a custom hunting rifle, and will finish out as a show quality "Trailer Queen" (with some time at the range, and NO time in the woods).

And already planning another build, just not quite as extravagant.

Edit: (Pictures will be posted upon completion)
