How to dispose of 500 rounds of ammo?

If I have ammo I need to dispose of, and I don't want to hassle with pulling bullets and depriming, the guys that run the range have a bucket for it. I had some 7.5X55 Swiss delivered along with some Boretech Eliminator, a very effective copper solvent. Well, the solvent bottle leaked a little, and you should have seen the case heads on one 10 round pack of GP11. Midway replaced the ammo and a box of Barnes TSX bullets. That reminds me, I need to take the aforementioned GP11 to the range guys.

I reload 7.65 Argentine and would like to have them. This would be cool if it was in the Pay It Forward section, but I will consider buying them. PM me.

Probably not dangerous. Tumble 'em for about 10 minutes in some sand, and then a few minutes in corncob (dampened), and they should be fine.

Never tumble loaded ammo. It causes the size of the propellant grains to change, which affects the burn rate. Given that you are starting with old, honked-up ammo doing anything that could affect its pressure characteristics could cause a lot of trouble. Are you really that hard up for something to shoot?

The preferred method would be depriming them on a press, but do what you like.

It was more fun when I did it on some crummy 50's yugo 8mm I was unlucky enough to get (before I realized 50's yugo is generally junk) guessing how many of the primers would still work. ;)

Urban legend. Cartridge makers, in fact, tumble loaded ammo. Search the reloading forum for more info on this exciting topic.

i wanna know what company it was that you dealt with that sent you a new case in replacement like that... that seems like damn good customer service and a company that i would like to deal with
