How to install the extractor Spring on a AR-15 bolt?

Hi, I am replacing the extractor spring on my AR-15 bolt, it came out easy enough but now I can't get the new one to seat right :banghead:. Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks

Put the plastic buffer inside the big end of the spring.

Put the big end of the spring in the hole in the extractor and push it down on a hard surface.

It should just "snap" in place.
