I guess I just keep too much stuff in my pockets, but in order to pocket carry I would have to leave something important behind.

Right front pocket: keys and pocket knife

Left front pocket: Cell phone (if someone could recommend a phone belt holster that doesn't poke out like a huge love handle under an untucked shirt, that might solve my problem)

Right rear pocket: wallet

Left rear pocket: usually nothing, but I can't imagine it would be comfortable (physically or mentally) carrying back there, especially when I sit down (same goes for my cell phone, so putting that back there is no good either).

What's the solution? Wear cargo pants everywhere? Man-purse or fanny pack? Just go IWB?

(It's a Ruger LCP I'll be carrying, BTW)

Here in Tampa Bay, I honestly don't go a lot of places where cargo pants would be frowned upon. A really nice dinner (maybe 2-4 times a year) might call for slacks, and that's when the Seecamp comes into play. :)

Cargo shorts, in particular, are a staple item for my CCW methods. Cargo pants in the winter time. The side pockets are good for clipping that pocketknife and carrying that cell phone. The side pockets also break up the lines quite nicely, which masks the shape of the pistol. A gun belt really goes a long way to keeping the pants from sagging to one side and for me, there is no substitute. I have one belt in black and another in brown to keep the area's pretentious fashionistas at bay. I've got the world by the cheeks now! :D

Don't be afraid to "dress around your gun" rather than choosing a different firearm to meet your existing wardrobe.

I wear cargo shorts everywhere but work, and since I can't carry at work (federal property) it's a non-issue. And I'm on the opposite corner of the map from you (western WA). Left thigh pocket is wallet+keys, right thigh pocket is cell phone+pens, and left front pocket is my LCP (would be right if I shot right handed).

Clip the keys to your belt with a carabiner and the pocket knife goes in the back pocket.
Or cell phone in shirt pocket, in a clipped camera bag with carabiner or belt case.

I use all the above depending on situation but the mighty NAA always is in the front pocket.

LCP front right pocket.
Cell belt clip left side.
Wallet whatever pocket is empty, I only carry it when going in somewhere.
I may or may not carry a knife, normally clipped to left pocket.
Keys on carabiner.

I carry a bag with me to the vehicle and into work. It contains everything I need for day to day basis.

I'm left-handed. LF pocket, Kel-Tec P32. RF pocket, keys in pocket, knife clipped to pocket. LR pocket, wallet/badge case (EMS badge/ID). RR pocket, nothing. Cellphone rides on the belt, as does a Kel-Tec PF9.

Maybe what's needed is bigger pockets, that's not a lot of stuff. I carry my knife, wallet, change and keys in my left front, and my pistol in my right front. A small camera lives in a case clipped to my belt.

just need to re-arrange your EDC stuff a bit. my set up is like this:

Right front pocket: ruger LCP

Left front pocket: keys and cell phone

Right rear pocket: pocket knife

Left rear pocket: wallet

For my PPS it's the pocket of my jacket or a cargo pocket, I don't carry in a regular pants pocket. Even with my (now sold) BG380 I found pants pocket carry to be uncomfortable.

RFP: LCP in holster
LFP: Keys, sometimes cell phone
RRP: Wallet
LRP: nothing
shirt pocket (if available): cell phone
change pocket: knife
carpenter's pocket: reuben sammitch

Just curious - isn't it uncomfortable to carry anything in the rear pocket? I've tried wallet rear pocket a couple of times and it felt weird, especially when sitting down.

Sorry for OT, but it does pertain if I'm wearing jeans and want to move my wallet so I can put my pistol front pocket ;)

Guess I don't remember that episode, although he was the character I identified most with. I'm not one for adjusting, though. Oh well, cargo shorts work.

I carry in the front-right pocket.
Either my derringer or my NAA Guardian.

Right Front Pocket - S&W 640-1
Left Front Pocket - Kershaw Speed Safe 1605 ckt & ID, CCW permit, $, etc.
Right Cargo Pocket - Benchmade Stryker
Left Cargo Pocket - Streamlight PT-1L

My reloads are speed strips carried on my belt at 3 & 9.

PF9 or P3AT in the right front pocket depending upon what I'm wearing. I'm usually wearing khakis.

If you pare down to what you actually use every day it isn't difficult to carry.
My wallet is very slim with just one ATM card and a credit card, my license and my permit, my insurance card and AAA card. I carry this and folded cash in my left front pocket. I carry a Sebenza clipped to my right front pocket and it falls behind the pocket holster. My Blackberry rides on my belt. My keys are pared down to a house key and car key with a AAA LED flashlight. These take no room so they get dropped in my right rear pocket. I carry a bandana in my left rear pocket. That pretty much covers it unless I toss a mini Bic lighter in my left front pocket.

This leaves the pocket pistols on the right kept company by my knife.

I don't carry anything else in the pocket with the pistol when I'm carrying it.

Two knives?

I carry an LCP or S&W 642 in a pocket holster in the right front pocket (I"m Righthanded). Wallet in back pocket, keys in left pocket and cell phone in shirt pocket. When wearing pants with cargo pockets I utilitize them. However nothing ever goes in my right front pocket but a CCW. I leave it empty when not carring in the pocket, to break the habit of sticking keys etc. in my CCW prefered pocket.

Left rear pocket: usually nothing, but I can't imagine it would be comfortable (physically or mentally) carrying back there, especially when I sit down (same goes for my cell phone, so putting that back there is no good either).
Wallet in left back, P32 in right back in a Uncle Mike's #1 pocket holster for maybe 8 years now. Superbly comfortable; don't even know it's there. In fact, I pat it from time to time to make sure.

With pink shirt or hat man purse would work very well. No person would suspect you have gun on you. Fanny packs, cargo pants, photographers vests, "Hawaiian' shirts are often associated with gun people especially if those so attired are older and caucasian.

Luckily I'm a younger fellow, so cargo pants don't look weird on me. I've been wearing them for over a decade now (started in Middle School), and only been carrying for a couple years.

1968 Charter 38 LH front pocket I wear Dockers to work and untucked Polo's and since I am only a shade under 5.9 they cover my front pockets. I carry my cell and my buck 110 on my belt on the Right hand side. A boyscout knife in my Right front pocket with 2 reloads. pepper spray and metal AA flashlight.
