I got a Saiga in 7.62x39 as part of a trade deal about 6 months ago. At the time I'd been planning to send it off somewhere and get it converted, but a few weeks later I found a good deal on a WASR-10, and started looking for a way to trade off or sell the Saiga to at least get my money out of it since I had a pistolgripped AK and didn't at the time want the hassle or expense of sending it off to convert.
Then I saw the Saiga named on HR1022 as a banned rifle.
A rifle that I would have gladly traded off for a case of 7.62x39 (break even) became something worth holding on to again, not for speculation purposes, but just because I figure that if I decide I do want to go ahead and do a Russian AK build in the future, I may not be able to get another for anything near what I got this one for.
Thanks, Democrats, for keeping one more evil black foreign rifle in my gunlocker.
