I was looking for a powder that has a fine granulated texture in order to have more accurate powder drops when reloading 32 H&R mag. I am using a Lee 1000 with the autodisk powder measure. Some flake powders do not drop consistently for such a small diameter brass. HS6 seems like it has the fine grained granules that would do the trick. I did notice that it's a slower powder than many other powders used for small caliber pistol cartridges. Would HS 6 be a good match for 32 H&R?

Hodgdon reloading data center list HS-6 for all bullet weights in H&R 32 magnum. So I guess it should work. I have no experience with it personally.

HS-6 has the same burn rate as Accurate #5, which is my most used powder for 32 H&R. (I shoot 100g bullets, from 700 to 1100+ fps.) I'd bet it'll do just fine.

Yep. Works great. May burn a little dirtier than AA #5 until you get toward the top of the load range. HS6 likes higher pressures. But a little soot never hurt anything when you get good results, right?

Frankly, all of my 32 loads, both Long and H&R, burn cleaner the hotter they are. Pretty much regardless of powder.

I am mainly seeking light target loads for practice, so I don't plan on making high velocity loads. With that said, would a faster powder be more appropriate than HS6 or AA#5?

Yes. Tite Group is the powder you're looking for. Clean burning, small granules, consistent weights.
I also like Bullseye, and HP38/Win231.

I would tend to agree wiht GooseGestapo unless you are using lead bullets. I avoid TiteGroup with lead because of excessive smoke. Any of the faster powders like Red Dot, AA #2, WST and the like will work well for target loads if you can find data for them.
