I asked in another post,
Anyone using Hodgdon's Tightgroup or Universal in 45ACP?
And, (HSMITH wrote; Closer to Bullseye is regular Clays, it is ULTRA clean, soft shooting and economical. As an added bonus it is a high bulk powder, making it easy to visually verify charge level even on a progressive press. Clays and a 230 grain bullet is one of if not the softest shooting 45 acp loadings available. 3.8 and a 230LRN easily make USPSA power factor, and shoot ultra flat and ultra soft.)
I was thinking about getting away from Bullseye and Unique. They are really gummy and dirty. Don't go nuts on me here, I still love my Bullseye.
So from everything I read I did not go with either of the above powders.
I bought Clays and Accurate #5. This am I loaded a few of HSMITH's recommenced Clays load (found to be safe) and not only was it everything he said but it's also an accurate load.
I'm going to load more this afternoon plus some SWC's with Accurate #5 and have some more fun. AND... I'm not going to clean my 1911 this afternoon!!!
It's that good.
Thanks again
Michael
