good thing none of the weapons was a .22 handgun. The ammo might have fired itself, when exposed to the hot air the journalist was full of. That's the kind of gun that shot Brady, you know. and Reagan. and Bobby kennedy. And Abe Lincoln. and my dog jake. and approximately 10% of law enforcement officers killed in 2004 by firearms other than their own. Most dangerous gun ever invented.

Wow, some of the stories in this thread could almost make me cry. I can't imagine the uproar if I got pulled over in Australia, anywhere urban, with any firearms in the car not locked in a case or portable safe. I'd probably spend the next 10 years in the clink. :barf:

Oh my. I hope I never get pulled over. I can see it now. Grandmother arrested with huge arsenal in vehicle.

Earlier today a local elderly woman was pulled over for a broken tail light. Unknown to the officer the woman was carrying 2 semi-automatic pistols, 3 revolvers, several military rifles to include an AK assault rifle with 12 30 round magazines fully loaded with ammo. There was at least 1,000 rounds of ammo in the vehicle. Local law enforcement officers had no idea what this elderly woman was doing with so much fire power. She is currently charged with smuggling firearms. The elderly woman said she was just on her way to the range. The arresting officer noted that no one carries that much to the range to shoot so she must have been involved in some nefarious activity.

During the 2004 hurrican season, when Central Florida got 3 hurricanes, I had to evacuate the house several times. I put all the guns in my truck. I had a .32, .38, .380 and a .45 in my truck tool box, and a 22, 7.62x39, 7.62x54 and a 12 gauge shot gun behind the seat of my Ford Ranger.

I was waiting to get pulled over and having a deputy ask me "Do you have any weapons in the car" to which I probably would have replied "Oh, HELL yes!"

Got pulled over years ago transporting weapons for the NG. Two SGT's had open carried .45's. Trooper asks why we're carrying. In the back of the F350 are M2HB's, M60's, M16's, M14's, and .45's. He just roled his eyes and told us to slow down. The best looks we got were when we had to cart all the weapons to our hotel room.
