I ain't in Oklahoma but can offer this.
Smell: No matter all the scent products; Keep the wind, however slight in your face as much as possible. Wildlife uses their noses.
Sight: Some animals can see good. Colors that contrast with surroundings, show movement, are easier to see.
Sound: If your walking/stalking keep a few pairs of heavy socks handy. Pull your shoes off, tie the laces together to carry, and go in your socks. If you can hear your footsteps so can the wildlife. Disregard the discomfort and always carry your boots with you.
Use elevation so you can see farther, don't skyline yourself. Keep a tree/bushes to cover your shape.
