Found a black Friday deal on a MDT lss chassis I could not pass up. They were out of the ones for a savage axis that I wanted to try. I have a .308 weatherby vanguard that I thought about using one for but decided to get one for the Remington 700 Short action. Maybe I should have gotten both but that darn money thing ya know. got a few other things coming also. I have been eyeing a ruger precision or a savage stealth for a few years.

While I have some centerfire rifles and several AR's truth be told I never played with them much. I always shot the air rifle-rimfire and pistol more. I am going to start with a .223 for the cost and the fact that my main range is only 200 yards. I like the pistol grip AR style and often think I wish they would make a simple n cheap bolt action upper for the AR :) I am looking forward to trying this out although it has to get here and I will need some other parts for the build

I am kind of afraid that this is actually going to end up more expensive and more addicting than any previous gun venture... overdue in reality but pretty scary :D

Been looking at a chassis for my Howa Minis. Just not sure how it will carry as a hunting rig though. I will probably eventually try one. I wish they weren't so expensive!

Yes I think they are expensive... some of them balance and carry well... I hear the MDT lss is one that carries well- especially with a lighter barrel- either due to length or profile and that is what I have enroute. There are a bunch of choices for sure!
