being that it has a hammer spur, im not really sure what the point is
???
having it be double action, single action and a lever really is a quite odd combo

Me either. However, just because they run it up the flag pole doesn't mean I have to salute it. If it works for some people, cool.

That's going to be the collectable for 2100.
"They only made a hundred of these before they got laughed out of production, dadgum thing is worth a FORTUNE!"
:)

I don't think I'd ever buy one, but it is very interesting. Haven't really seen anything like it. My main issue with this would be what to do with my regular Judge? And is this any more accurate/better?

Those would be my issues.

I like it too. Why all the haters? If they did something about the gap-flash (my worry would be burning my forward hand with burnt powder) I think it would be a fun little gun to own. Obviously it has no practical applications, but neither do a lot of products that are fun to play around with.

I wonder if this could fill a survival rifle-type role. The .45LC has advantages over .22LR if there are larger game in the area and .410 is a nice option. I'd be worried about accuracy, though.

I think the question is why a lever action revolver? Does the revolver trigger/hammer still do the same functions as DA/SA, and if so, then why the redundant lever? If the revolver functions are gone, and it must function by the lever action like any lever rifle, then it's the final evolution of the Civil War revolving rifle.

i kind of like it as well...

I am curious, as armoredman stated, about the actual functioning of the action.

Although I don't see me getting one I CAN see some of the appeal for them to some people. In the handgun format a 410/45LC doesn't make much sense. However, out of a full length barrel there might be some real advantage.

Here's a weapon that can take everything from bird to rabbit to coyote to deer inside of 50 yards. 00 Buckshot out of a 410 has the same muzzle velocity and energy per pellet as it does out of a 12 gauge, you just get fewer pellets. A hard loaded 45LC out of a rifle is nothing to sneeze at and people have use 410 to hunt small game for decades.

It's a compromise weapon of course. The lack of rifling will greatly reduce the accuracy of the 45LC. Still, having 6 rounds available and being able to change between shotgun/centerfire quickly is attractive.

Besides, I've got a lot of guns that hardly get used. Not everything HAS to have a dedicated purpose. Some guns are just fun. And this looks like a great fun gun for some people.

I actually liked the smoothbore version that was just a stretched out Judge, but not adding in a lever action. Of course, they do have a normal lever action .410 on the way as well, and that I'd like to have.

right below, .44mag. It's piqued my interest. Although I'd rather convert a S&W or Ruger Redhawk/Blackhawk to .44 carbine configuration. If I had the disposable income I would definitely consider ruining a perfectly good revolver and convert it to a rifle. Heck, while I was at it if I lived in a state that permitted it I would SBR it with a 12" barrel. Heck of a hunting carbine. No lever action on a revolver though. Redundant. You can thumb a hammer probably faster than you can work a lever from a pistol grip. Then again, how far do you have to move the lever? I just have a Marlin 336 to base my understanding of lever-action mechanics.

I think they look ulgy and would never buy one myself, but I think you're looking at this wrong...its the worlds first ambidextrous lever action (no ejection port). Now if they made it look more like a traditional lever action and offered it in your "typical" calibers, then we'd have something.

I dunno guys...I think this thing with a picatinney forend, vertical hand grip, tacstar laser and an acog would make a great MSW (Mall security weapon).

Personally I think it's a pretty cool rifle. There are a lot of rifles based off a pistol. For that matter why make half of the rifles or handguns out there?
I have seen them at gunshows and they feel good and look like nice quality.

as i previously said, i like it... looking at it, with the spurred hammer, a la DAO, you have a sleeker receiver but with the addition of the leaver you can still use the single action function. If i had to guess, i would say the lever movement is 1-2 inches and therefore very fast so one could potentially ready the gun for the next round in SA mode much faster than if they were to move their shooting hand thumb up, thumb back the hammer, then replace their thumb and reacquire the target... The more i think about it, the more I like it... What would be my purpose for such a thing? I honestly have not a clue, i think i would likely prefer their 22/22mag in this configuration.
