I finally ordered the Simply Rugged for SW 686

By reviews of most here its a good to go holster. I hope to get mine in due time. Lady says it ll take about 3-4 weeks. I got the Sourdough Pancake model in oxblood. I intend to carry this during hunting and in crossdraw mode. This is gonna be cool ! hahaha

Just ordered one for my model 66 3inch and my Model 36 also in Oxblood. I like the fact that you can get removable straps for IWB for my 36... Plus a couple of quick strips. 3 -4 weeks gonna be a long wait..

I have that exact holster for my 686+ and it makes even IWB carry possible with that gun. I have 7 simply rugged holsters and love them all.

I have one for a SP101, no IWB option on mine (kind of wish I had got it though) and it is very nice. Much more comfortable than I'd imagined, and I wear it under just a TShirt pretty easily. You won't be sorry, mine is quite nice.

This one i got has no IWB loops bec i dont need it. I wore it this time to see how it feels and surely the crossdraw at 9:30 feels really good. I have to tighten the belt well to get the holster closer to the body. This is a thumbs up holster if you guys need to know.

I got one and it arrived last month. Made for a ruger 44 special with a 4 5/8 inch barrel. Beautiful fit and in oxblood with border stamping. It is the pancake style and works well. I will be ordering a couple more for 2 other handguns.

Waiting for it was the hardest part.

I had one for my SP101 with the IWB loops, very nice holsters. Traded off my SP101 and sold the holster to a member here.

Mine just arrived yesterday. I got the black Transit with a thumb break for a four-inch Ruger redHawk. Last Thursday, a package arrived after a two week wait. It was the wrong holster and was too small for a Redhawk.

I called them the next morning, last Friday. A new holster arrived on Monday that fit like a glove. Simply Rugged customer service was top notch. The sent me a return athorization for the smaller holster. I will mail it back tomorrow.

The holster is built like a Sherman Tank. The leather is thick and of fine quality. I will definitely buy more Simply Rugged products. They are the best value on the market for the quality you get.

My 2 just came after about 4 weeks. Got one form my 3 inch model 66 and one for my 2 inch Chief's Special. Really nice work. The smaller one came with detachable IWB straps. Not sure if I like the straps yet (pretty stiff) but I will see.

I think you'll like it. I too got the Simply Rugged for my 6" GP100 and it fits my Colt King Cobra just as well. It holds the gun close in, which I really like.

Does the sourdough have any rake to it (10 to 15 degree)?

It has three slots for the belt so that you can do a cant if you want.

Here are pictures of my two.

The Model 36 has the removable IWB loops. Took a bit of time to get them soft enough to use. The loops are a bit big so it makes concealment a bit harder. I sure do love that little gun

I simply love these holsters and think they are best value for the monet period. Here is a pic of my BH in the old Range Master model, I also have one for my S&W M10. I wish they still made this holster

I like the Sour Dough Pancake holsters especially for the S&W M60. However I found they aren't the best choice for slim built folks like yours truly for full sized service hanguns.
