I have been looking around for a a second LCP for my daughter for quite a while now. The prices have been so high that I thought I might have to settle on a Kelt-Tec for me and give her the LCP. I went to a small local shop where I had seen a very good price on the Kel-Tec a few weeks ago and I had pretty much made up my mind that I was going to buy one if they had one in stock. This store has all the handguns hanging on the wall, instead of inside a case, and you can just handle any of them you want. I went to the back of the store where I had seen the Kel-tec and there, in its place was a brand new LCP. I flipped the tag over to see that it was priced at $265. I then looked at the gun again and sure enough it was a brand new LCP, not a used one or a Kel-tec. I could not get the money out fast enough.
I haven't seen a new one under $300, usually closer to $350, for quite a while now. The LCP and a defensive handgun class with Weaponcraft is one of my graduation presents for my daughter.
