I recently inherited two rifles from my grandfather, and was hoping some of you experts could provide me with some information about them. It'd be nice to know how old they are, how many were produced, and just general information about make and model
First one is a Russian .22 long rifle. It says TOZ-14 on it, along with serial number 84N 01XX
Second one is a Krag-Jørgensen 6.5x55. On that one it says 1901 with the serial number 538XX. I thought perhaps 1901 was the year it was made, but I find it hard to believe that the rifle is more than 100 years old. All I know about this one is that it's made in Norway.
Got a picture of them here (large pic).
They've both been used quite a lot, though the mechanisms and barrels are in very good shape. One thing I'm curious about though, is if it's possible to remove the bolt completely on the Krag in order to clean it properly.
Any information you can give me on these two is highly appreciated
