I just finished a replacement knife sheath for my hand made bowie. Made the buffalo snap and inlayed a western diamond back skin.

Beautiful work! I never got the hang of knife sheaths, well good ones anyway. I think I didn't want to spend time on something that wasn't knifemaking so I sent it out.

The knife was made by a maker that has passed. The blade and tang were completely done but the rest of the work was unfinished. I made the walnut handle and the pommel, guard from solid brass. I recessed the handle into the pommel and guard. I also threaded the tang 1/4"-28 securing the handle in the pommel.
