Speaking of zombie movies/literature, has anyone read Stephen King's 'Cell' yet?
I just googled it. Apparantly, it was released 1/24/06. I'll be calling the bookstores tomorrow!cracked butt said:Speaking of zombie movies/literature, has anyone read Stephen King's 'Cell' yet?
I don't enjoy full power 12G slugs after 10 rounds or so. I figure I'd snivel over the 45/70. Guess I'm a poozle. I'm gonna have to sell my Harley and buy a Vespa. Does this mean that I have to go see Brokeback Mountain?
Biker
I am not sure what the distance was but maybe the could have launched some fishing line via compound bow, then used that to pull a heavier gauge line across, then repeat until some sort of high tension wire set up could be used to transport small amounts of foo and water.BenW said:At the risk of thread drift into strategies and tactics, and because this is a serious subject (because I KNOW we will have a zombie attack someday), How would you guys have gotten food and water to Andy?
I haven't watched the movie in a while, but I'm pretty sure he was too far away to turn a 12 gauge into a line-thrower. They were in a mall, so if there was a hobby shop they could have broke out the model airplanes and transferred food to him like 10 cheerios at a time. Or maybe find innertubes or something to make a big giant slingshot. Anytime they missed his building, they would have at least beaned some zombies, which is always good entertainment. Building a trebuchet would have been an interesting project, and they could have flung twinkies at him as they are indestructible. As for water, Andy should have just made a bunch of modified solar stills.
I think I'd grab my Beretta CX4 Carbine and a bag of stick mags. A couple hundred rounds of 9mm in a recoiless, short and manuverable package that can reach out a little farther than a pistol.

Anyone else find it sad that we all know so much about zombies?
I'll just mosey on over to the National Atomic Museum and fire away w Atomic Annie (280mm atomic cannon).
