I have been completely giving cz the cold shoulder for years now... Well I couldn't think of any other gun to buy, so while in my local gun store today, I decided to try a cz 75 bd. OMG! It was like I squeezed a brick of clay to fit my hand, then they made the gun from the clay. I am truly sorry I discredited cz thus far.

Well I brought her home, degreased her, the packing grease was awful thick btw, and fired a few mags through her, wonderful results, even from the da position. The bd decocks to like 1/3 cock or something so the da trigger isn't too bad.

Yeah I messed up not giving cz a chance sooner!

Their packing grease is something else... It might as well be cosmoline. Glad you like it - better late than never.

My biggest problem with CZ pistols was finding any place locally that carried them. Finally a couple of years ago I found a gun store that had a P-01, P-06, and P-07. Was looking for a 9mm. and couldn't believe how great the P-01 felt in my hand. Bought it, along with a Kadet .22 conversion kit (they gave me a super deal on it if I got it at the same time as the P-01), and have been a very happy CZ customer ever since.

I found CZ's about a year ago. They are great guns. I really like mine. You'll find lots of clones which tend to be just as well made and reliable. There's a reason so many copy the design, they work well.

I really like my 75B in 40.S&W. I think they have to coat them in that really thick grease because they're imported by sea

A friendly warning.;)

Don't get your hands on a custom tuned 97b. You'll do anything you can to justify getting one.

But anyway go ahead and get a 15-16# Wolff hammer spring for your BD. It'll help with the trigger pull.

CZ is one pistol that I really like, but still don't own one yet . I would like to get the SA model 75 .

I dig my PCR, and would like to get a 75BD "big brother" and possibly a P-01 "companion" for it some day. I also had a .22 bolt action rifle that could shoot the whisker off a gnat, but no longer. :(

I was on the CZ website last night and noticed that they had discontinued quite a few models. Such as my 83 and the Skorpion and a few of the "Duty" models. I was really wanting to get an 83 in .32 and one of those Skorpipons too.

Congrats on the purchase.

I had a 75B .40 S&W Duotone and a 75B Compact. I'd like to get another one. Yesterday I looked at a stainless 75B for $729 this is too much $ for a CZ. I also looked at a 75BD polycoat for $529 and a 75BD Compact polycoat for $529. I don't foresee wanting to carry this, so it's a range only gun, so I want a 75B or a SAO polycoat.

I tried many many pistols,,,

Welcome to the CZ Wonderland.

I tried out many Wonder-9 pistols,,,
Then someone put a CZ-75B in my hand.

The clouds parted and bathed my hand in a warm ray of sunshine,,,
The winds slowed and an angelic chorus sang to me,,,
My hand raised to a perfect target acquisition,,,
My bullets flew to the center mass.

That very afternoon I placed an order for a 75B in 9mm and a Kadet in .22 LR,,,

That was possibly the best $1,100.00 I've ever spent for two pistols.

I went to the LGS to pick up a M&P 9mm as my first modern striker fired pistol and saw they had a new CZ-75 w/ safety behind the glass. The DA trigger was quite nice! It's been hard to get an impression of triggers through online discussion but the trigger on this particular example had a reasonably weighted smooth, non stacking, and all around very nice DA trigger. I was impressed and the pistol fit like a glove.

The M&P however fits me like a too large glove. It has other features that I am interested in right now though.

I briefly owned a P-01. Great little pistol, fit like a dream. Ultimately I decided I didn't like the rail or DA. That being said I definitely would like to pick up a full-size 75 SA in the future.

Welcome to the world of Česká Zbrojovka. I'm big on the older pistols (a vz.52, a vz.50, a vz.70, and two vz.82s). Just might have to find me a ČZ75. ;)

AS said above about the CGW and CZCustom parts, If you ever handle a "tuned" CZ 75, there's no going back. The trigger can be made amazingly nice.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to CZ. Pics pics
Czechpoint still has the scorpions for sale, just recently picked one up in .380.....closest thing to a 9mm which I wished they had instead..oh well
Don't forget they make awesome rifles to, especially their line of .22s

I have a P01. Love it. Want a RAMI and a Kadet kit. Cannot find them. I feel CZ is the best dollar for dollar pistol without exception.
