I need some ideas --

I need guns made in the years 1910 and 1927 -- birth years important to me. But not quite sure what was made in those years...so, what would you guys recommend from those years?

I like the idea of the Thompson -- but are they legal in CA -- and it might be a bit cost prohibitive
