Hi, thought i would tell you a little about this last weekend.

I am in a youth program for the Norwegian Home guard (you might call it cadets or something, i don`t know)

So this weekend (Saturday to be specific) i was at the local Home Guard gathering (all the officers and such were there, and their families) It was basically a day for fun.

First thing we did was shoot the AG3 (Norwegian made G3) trying to get the sharp shooter mark (I didn`t make it, but it was fun nonetheless) and we later tried to pole shooting with the AG3 too which although difficult was very fun. (pole shooting, don`t know what it`s called in English but you shoot at targets, and if you hit a little flag pops up.)

A little later i also got to try the P80 (Glock 17) which was very interesting, i didn`t find the recoil bad at all, and even shooting it one handed was a very comfortable (and entertaining) experience.

after that again i got to shoot the MP5 (only a couple of seconds with fully automatic fun, but fun it was!)

Definitively looking forward to next year (need to start shooting better if i`m going to get that mark)

Nice to hear of the Noregian counter part as it were? I spent my weekend at the Arizona Air National Guard. A weekend is a weekend. Yours sounded more fun than mine. I didnot get to shoot anything. :(

I`m sure youl get to shoot plenty as time goes by :D

We (cadets thingy) was there from Friday to Sunday, so yesterday we took a hike up one of the (many) mountains around here for some hunting, (birds)

i`m thinking i should get a hunting license, because it was a lot of fun (even though we didn't get to shoot anything)

Oh and now we have 1 week of vacation so...im just chilling

how i enjoy being a child.

I love getting trigger time for any reason, but range day is one of my favorites.

Remember, chicks dig high marksmanship awards (and if you're a dude like me, you dig the ladies who've earned them too).

Sounds like it was fun. I'll probably shoot the 9mm sometime this week. Also,a friend just went overseas to work and is concerned about his family's security. I'll let his wife shoot my 12-gauge and keep it there until she buys one.

Next year ;) il get the awards next year ;)

this weekend was just my 3rd time shooting the G3, good news though, 7.62x51 doesn`t kick as bad anymore :D
