If I were to add up all my 'yote kills I would have to give the .223 the medal for taking more than all other chamberings and arrows combined. It does it's job. I have killed them with many tools, but the single gun that laid the most down was an H&R Survivor. I must have killed 80 with it. Work to get it to hit? Never been a problem it shot .75" all day long.
Now, I have an AR. Before then I used a Howa, before that another AR and the H&R, and along the way some heavier Mausers and my bows. When deer hunting gets boring I start calling. I always have my predator calls on me. Use what you got. Spend your money on the wife. Once you get addicted to calling 'em in she won't see as much of you.
