ID these AR mags

someone gave me 3 30 rd AR mags. they are grey, and on the bottom it says "kay industries inc, new britian, conn usa"

are these good mags?

OKay mags are the good stuff. USGI Issue mags.

What color are the followers? If black, substitute green followers at a couple of bucks a pop. Better feeding/reliability, IMO. While you're at it, replacing the springs with an aftermarket product like Wolff's will make them better, too.

OTOH, if they work in your rifle(s), what the heck?!

I've got a couple of these that I bought at a surplus store a few years back, and they work GREAT !

One of these days I'll probably be replacing the followers with the green ones and putting new springs in them..
