IDPA matches in IA

My job may take me to central IA and I'm an active IDPA shooter looking for some matches in the Des Moines/Ames area. I found the Isik Walton club in Ames, has anyone shot in their IDPA or steel matches? Thanks!

Hi! I've lived south-east of DesMoines for a couple of years and found it to be a great place to be a gun owner and shooter. I've just started shooting IDPA a little bit this year. I've been going to a shoot near Eddyville. I've been thinking about heading up to the shoots they have up by Ames and Boone though as well. They have a Yahoo group that you can get more info form. Let me know if you want a link, but maybe that's what you've already found. I've spoken with a few people that shot there and it seems like a friendly place to shoot. Hope you can move this way. It's a great place to live!

There is one in Ankeny, just N of Des Moines, and they do week night shoots of different types too. There is one in Boone, W of Ames. There is one in Ottumwa, Waterloo, adn Dubuque. I believe there is one in Sioux City, but I have no experience with it, just some of their shooters.

The Ames boys do a credible match.
