If all ammo cost the same, what caliber would be you fav?

It would still be 9mm, because the types of handguns I prefer can be found in 9mm.
If Glock would make a longslide in 10mm or 7,63 Mauser/7,62 Tokarev, I'd favour 10mm or 7,63/7,62.

The .45 Colt is nice in a revolver. I would love to have a nice S&W target revolver in .45LC. I would have all my revolvers chambered in .45 LC and all my semi-autos in either .40S&W or .45acp if it were a single stack gun. I really like the 9mm but mostly because it is cheaper to shoot and often more accurate than .40S&W for some reason.

I find the .45acp is easier for me to shoot than the .40S&W but if ammo was cheaper, I would get used to the .40S&W with no problem. It is just a little snappy compared to the 9mm. More is better to an extent but for self defense, I don't need/want anymore recoil than the .40S&W or .45acp.

Pretty much the same as now- 9mm, .45acp and .357mag. Price is an advantage of 9mm now, but it is only one strength of many. They all have their strengths and weaknesses and even without cost as an issue I appreciate a good 9mm (lots of good platforms to choose, very size effecient- good power in a small package allows either use in a very small gun or a lot of bullets in a larger gun, I think the bullet design tends to lend itself to reliability or it could just be that most gun designs for this round are reliable, more than acceptable power, etc.). .45acp goes without saying- very powerful for a handgun round and the premier chambering for the 1911. .357mag, well what can I say- big boom, big power, big fun:D

357 SIG. It is more fun to shoot than the other common calibers like 9mm, 40, and 45, but requires more frequent range trips for me to maintain a decent marksmanship level.

All things (especially price being equal!), I'd say my favorite is the 45 acp...Loaded mild or super hot, it's a fantastic round!

Put some .44 mag rounds downrange last weekend. I'd forgotten how much fun the magnums are.

If cost were no object, I'd shoot a lot more .44 and .357 Mag.

Im a big 9mm fan...but that is always cheap...So I am going to have to go with 357 SIG...I think that is a bad arse round.

I'm a real big 9mm fan myself, but that is partially because of price. If all ammo cost the same I would go .45ACP all the way.
