If you carry bigger than a pocket gun, what method of concealment?

I use a Desantis IWB pancake type for 1911's. Works great for shorts and "stays tucked" tshirts untucked. Just bought an Alien Gear cloak tuck (or whatever they call it) for my P228 because it looked really similar to the Desantis. It's comfy, but I've lost 2 screws in 4 days. Tried tightening, and the tension is way too much. So it's probably going in the useless holster drawer.

Yeah, when I had an alien gear I'd had to use locktite on all the screws.

I make my own holsters and prefer a tuckable -- whether I wear it that way or not.

Any pancake holster can be transformed into a tuckable.

1. Make two reverse-J strips out of heavy Kydex. The strips before bending should be about 6" long.

2. Punch two holes near the toe of the holster, one on either side of the muzzle.

3. Use Chicago screws (post screws) to attach the reverse-J hooks.

When you slide the holster inside your waistband, the reverse-J hooks slide down the outside and click over your belt -- the second or reverse J grabs onto the belt and holds the holster in position. When you wear this holster as a tuckable, you just tuck your shirt between the holster and waistband.

Other...IWB with tucked shirt and cover garment usually....sport coat, sweater, fleece, sweatshirt. Summer casual, I go with untucked shirt. Sometimes it is simply a 642 in the pocket with a nemesis.

Have these trigger guard holster for all my CCW guns. But only micro's, snubbies and Pocket guns. Much less, thin so as to not need larger pant waist size. Apendix ONLY

I tried one of those trigger guard holsters. My Glock kept slipping around in my waistband.

I carry a BHP, in my waist band, and an untucked shirt. I pick my clothes to fit fairly loose, so it’s easy to keep it hidden

I carry untucked AIWB 99% of the time, but I like having a tuckable holster so I can keep the same setup for those times I need to be dressed up for a funeral or church or some other more formal event.

I carry strong side IWB or OWB depending upon weather. That also dictates whether the holster is IWB or OWB since depending on temperature I'm in an untucked camp or Hawaiian shirt or tucked shirt with jacket. I carry in the same place and try to only have a single layer to move so the draw doesn't change.

I wear a cover garment... usually a fleece vest or jacket. But then again, I'm up in the north.

I also carry a LCP in a Sneaky Pete that is concealed in plain site.

IWB during warm weather with shirt untucked. Once it turns colder I wear vests and jackets and that allows OWB and the occasional shoulder holster.

I'm trying AIWB for three reasons.
Supposed to be the fastest, not yet for me.
Easy to conceal under an untucked t-shirt.
Easy access while in car. Important in these days of unrest.

My LCP in my pocket not only shows but it's a very slow presentation. AIWB with the LCP works really well. Comfortable enough, conceals really well, speed is good. I also OWB at 3:30 with an untucked t-shirt.

My Hellcat AIWB, is tolerable for a few hours and the speed is good. Concealment is meh, I need baggier t-shirts. If I need to wear it all day, I'll go 3:30 IWB. One thing I really like about my AIWB rig is that the spare mag is up front so no extra carrier bulging on my beltline where everybody looks for bulges.

Mines a bit unusual but I have a leather vest with a large pocket inside that can hold around a 9”-10” revolver. I also have a “fishing vest” that has several large pockets that can hold about a 20” long gun

I just don't like tiny handguns.

The "camp" shirt (no tails, designed to be worn un-tucked) is the greatest boon to concealed carriers since ... vests. I have to admit though, I don't like the sloppy look of a shirt with tails worn un-tucked ... so, I tuck and wear a cover garment (typically some type of vest, which blends in great in the PNW).

OWB is the only way to carry. Having needed to draw a handgun before, I quickly figured out that if you need your handgun, you're likely to need it in a hurry. No "deep concealment," tiny handguns or funky modes of carry for me.

I've been carrying a Glock 20SF (gen 3) AIWB - easily concealed by a loose untucked button-up shirt or polo.
As uncomfortable as that may sound, longer slides are more tolerable for me AIWB, Glock 19/23 size dig in a little more than 20SF/22 - concealing the grip to my satisfaction with the larger pistols requires wearing something more than a basic t-shirt; oh well, I look better in a button-up or polo than a t-shirt anyway.
Glock 20SF is a "no regrets" type pistol.

I'm okay with a "tiny" handgun as a 2nd option™ in my weak hand front pocket to the Glock thats IWB - typically thats a Kahr PM9

Well, recently I've taken to carrying a Colt New Service (biggest cartridge revolver Colt ever produced until the Anaconda) in an El Paso Saddlery pancake holster under an untucked shirt.
