If you could have one shotgun, one pistol and one rifle, what would it be?

Ruger Red Label 20g SxS

Ruger 77/22 Mk II all weather

Colt Python

All ready own them and they are my go to guns I practice with

If you looking for good quality for the least money
870 remington
308 in ruger action
45 or 9 in ruger

I keep thinking about this and always come back to "It depends on the situation."

But here goes:

Shotgun - IZ-109 Saiga 12
Rifle - T/C Classic .22
Handgun - 4" Ruger GP-100

Seems as if that'd cover just about any situation.
Oh yes ... and I do already own all three.

Browning A-5 LT12- 12ga. got it.
Rem. mod. 760 30-06 got it.
SA RO 1911 .45ACP got it.

I'm not hard to please.....:p

Rifle: Ak-47

Shotgun: Remington Super Mag

Pistol: GP 100

Well, this is the list I can afford. If we are talking
unlimited funds then :D

What I own:
Mossberg 500, prefer the safety on top near the thumb which is why I prefer it to the 870.
Glock G26 a pistol is meant to be carried and its my carry.
AR, Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel good for anything up to elk or social problems.

The only thing I might upgrade is the shotgun to a military/police semi-automatic

Mine is all in one, well for the most part! I called it the AK-47K you know like the MP5k

While your busy carrying 3 guns i'm busy just hauling ass and winning the war!

And why not a custom one of kind Sig x5 to back it up!

"I'm going to say they'd all be firearms. What do I win?" Blackbeard

A roundel
A Welsh Longbow
And a trebuchet...

Although it is interesting in this informal survey how prevalent various forms of Kalish's there were, that says something about the overall usefulness of his design.

Or how much our nation has changed, a like poll 40 years ago would have probably been dominated by the .30-30 or the 30-06.

And strangely the number of responses for revolvers which in most cases are now considered a obsolete weapon.

Shotgun: My ever reliable Remington 870 shotgun

Pistol: GLock 19

Rifle: Marlin 336 30-30

For the greatest versatility and durability, I would choose these.
Shotgun - Rem. 870, 12 ga. Used for – small game hunting, big game hunting (with slugs), and home defense.
Rifle - Bolt action in .300 Win. Mag. Preferably a stainless, synthetic version. Used for – big game hunting, and long range defense.
Handgun - S&W revolver in .357 Mag. 4"-6" barrel. Again, preferably stainless. Used for – home/self defense, and big game hunting.

I'd love to throw a .22 rifle in there for small game hunting, but you can always use the 12 ga. for that. Ya just have to chew around the bird shot.

S&W .460 revolver
mossberg 835 3 1/2 inch chamber
remington model 700 in 375 H&H

EVERYTHING GOES DOWN!!

Actually, wouldn't be too tough for me. I lived many many years with only a small number like this and was fine. In fact, I'm not sure I'm happier with more.

For me, it would be:

Mossberg 590A1 shotgun - rugged, I like the tang safety, and I could/have used it for sporting clays (not ideal obviously, but I infrequently shoot clays). The world wouldn't end it all I had was a Mossberg 500. You can purchase a Moss 500 with ghost ring sights from the factory. A friend of mine did this.

Marlin 336 lever action rifle in 30-30. I fell in love with my lever action and it always puts a smile on my face when I take it out to the range or go hunting with it. I've got it set up in the Scout type format made popular by Jeff Cooper. My father in law said it looks like a Red Ryder BB gun to which I said "thank you".

For the pistol, I'd go with a Sig P220 which is 45 ACP. I wanted a Sig for over 20 years before I finally saved up and bought one. It did not disappoint. Utterly reliable and feels very good in my hand.

I would miss a 22 LR but could live without it. I'd probably get a 22 conversion kit for the Sig. If I could add one more, I'd probably go with the Marlin Papoose. This is a change from my normal answer of a Ruger 10-22. I like the lightness and portability of the Marlin.

I like that you mentioned unlimited funds. It got me thinking, would I change my choices? I think I want to say no. With such a small set of firearms, my main concern is reliability and ruggedness. Once I get past the essentials, then it would get fun - double rifles, excessive engraving, etc.

There are very beautiful. Did you do the work yourself? Do they work well? Do you have any other pieces you could show us? Thanks.

Rifle:
Rock-Ola M1 Carbine

Pistol:
Colt Army Model 1860 w / shoulder stock or a Nazi embellished Luger P08 (officers variant), although I would love to have a stamped "Liberator" single shot.

Shotgun:
Remington 870 Wingmaster or almost anything Beretta.

Do I have to carry all of them at the same time? That might change my choices. For the Apocalypse, trudging down the road seeking food and shelter, running and hiding from the evil marauders, probably these:

[/IMG] ******************************O.K., the last one is not a shotgun, but I don't use shotguns much, and this one is very versatile, quiet, light, and small. I could carry it easy, along with the others, and a suitable amount of ammo for each.
