If you had to add another chambering to the stable

Adding another cartridge is an expensive proposition. Molds, dies, brass, etc, . . .

In handguns, I'd like to add .460 Rowland to the mix, but I don't want to chase the brass, so probably the most likely would be .44 Rem Mag, which I've avoided thus so far. I keep telling myself that .45 Colt does everything .44 Mag can do. I know, I'm fibbing a bit.

I really should load for .223/5.56. I don't know why I don't.

Most likely will have a .224 Valkyrie by the end of the year, or at least before February.

Other than that I'd like a 6.5CM, a .45 Raptor, .460S&W (Big Horn Armory Model 90 and an X-frame), and .300BO. Listed in order of what's most likely to happen.

I'd like to add .416 Barrett and .50BMG but they aren't as feasible monetarily (and I don't have a good place to shoot them) so they wouldn't be my first choices.

Just added .327fm. I am looking to add (at some point in life...no hurry) 35 Remington, 7-08, 20 practical, 50-110, and 2-1/4” smoothbore mountain howitzer. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to add 36 and 44 caliber cap and ball, 357 sig, 7.65 nagant, 41 mag, and another 10mm. Then again, 32-20 and 38-40 would be fun, as would 32win Spl.

Probably something like a .327 Magnum, a .41 Magnum (had two of them years ago), or else a 10mm.

Some decades ago I purged a bunch of the small caliber handguns, 22 & 7.65 in particular so if I added any back in now it would likely be 22 or 32 in revolvers or 7.65 in semi-automatics. Since I really prefer snub nosed revolvers as primary carry and there are so many nice old 32s out there it probably would be the first choice.

Already have/reload for 31 different calibers and 4 gauges, but I'm looking at something in 6.5 "something" to replace a worn .270W for deer hunting.

It would be a slow twist .25

250 Savage or "maybe" a 257Roberts in a SA. A 25-06 and again, maybe 257 in a long action. Slow twist and throated for varmint bullets. Trying to get some 80? g cast going 3000fps. The '06 with a med heavy barrel will probably be the best considering I'll give it to one of my boys once done with it.They have plenty of deer rifles.

I'm only gonna stock 224, 257, 308, and 358 diameter bullets, so any new chambering has to fit that caliber footprint. Given that premise, a 257 Weatherby or 300 H&H would be swoopy (but unnecessary other than for cool factor).

I'm seriously considering something in a 6mm wildcat for an AR15. I already have one picked out but it's not available right now so I'm adding a large-frame 6.5creedmoor in the meantime .

I have done some more reading on the 7.62 x 39 and also the 300 blackout in the the AR since my previous post. My LGS has both uppers and I have dropped the 7.62 x 39 in favor of the 300 blackout if and when I decide to do it. Yes, I read the ka-boom thread about the 300 blackout in a 223 upper elsewhere. I won't be in the situation described so I'm not worried.

Have you looked at the 6.5 Grendel? I just got out of .30 caliber altogether, but might consider an AR in 6.5 and the Grendel looks pretty cool ...

Let's see, this shouldn't be too hard to decide...

Handgun: if I added another caliber, I think I'd have a .44 Special or Magnum again. Probably a S&W 629, 29 or 624.

Rifle: Does 9mm count as an "addition" if I already feed handguns so chambered? I find myself strangely drawn to a 9mm AR pattern rifle at the moment.

Semiauto Pistol: 38 Super
Revolver: 44 mag
Bolt Action Rifle: 6.5 Creedmoor
Semiauto Rifle: 308
Lever Action: 45-70

Probably should be 5.56/.223 but just haven't found a rifle that really speaks to me in my price range.
What will actually happen will be probably a 357
