Illinois loses appeal over gun control law, leaving restraining order in effect

Whoa! This is the first I have heard. It is applied statewide too? Wonder how long before the goods come back at gun stores. Great news.

My understanding is that there was a restraining order granted which only applied to the plaintiffs. There was an another lawsuit filed, and that restraining order applies to everyone.

The Fox News report is inaccurate.
Judge Morrison's TRO was for 800+ plaintiffs and was appealed by the State of Illinois. The Appellate Court left the TRO in place but it is only for the 800+ plaintiffs that brought the lawsuit.

Another suit was also filed by the same law firm with over 1900 plaintiffs in White County, Illinois. The presiding Judge (Judge Webb) issued his ruling today and granted a TRO for the 1900+ plaintiffs in the White County lawsuit against the State of Illinois.

Other cases are pending against the State of Illinois and their AWB but I am not aware of any rulings being issued yet.
