Illinois is at it again, this time they are trying to change the liquor control act to prohibit firearms in any business that has a liquor license, even trying to set up a $5000 fine for any business with a liquor license that 'knowingly fails to prohibit concealed firearms on its premises' and even making the parking lot of a business that has a liquor license off limits to concealed carry permit holders.

The chicagocrats have been on a tear ever since they were forced to allow a concealed carry law. They've introduced about every kind of anti-gun legislation imaginable. Just part of an ongoing struggle to force the rest of the state to do what THEY want. We're also saddled with a rabidly anti gun (Chicago) governor.

Seeing that alcohol licensees are basically over a barrel (sorry) when made to comply with almost any regulation, and that most regs pass legal muster in their line of restricted trade, and that the fine is directed at the owner and not the customer.....I bet it will be green-lighted by the courts if passed. More stupifying nonsense. You go next door to Indiana and while you can't buy beer on Sundays, they honor ALL permits-even those issued by foreign governments-and they don't wet themselves over issuing lifetime permits. Why does this state SUCK?? Never mind, I know-Chitown.
